    Heath's M35A2... the beginning

Well... she's out of the booth.

    Need help choosing color

If you like blue, repaint it Battleship blue-grey. But if you don't sand it down and repaint, she will start to rust as soon as she hits moisture or salty beach water.

    Non turbo header and stack

I can't remember all of the details... head work might have been involved.

Front tire blow out going 55 MPH on the freeway

Sort of... That's max speed at max rated load. Unless you bobbed a deuce down to a unicycle, those tires are WAY below the rated speed/load curve. But I 100% agree, after my blowout, I'm paranoid about tire condition/cracking.

Front tire blow out going 55 MPH on the freeway

Flashbacks of this time last year. (I lost one at the same speed in my M35A2 on the recovery.) Good job man!

MA Medfield Day - Police Command Deuce pictures

If my kid was lost in the woods, and a search needed to be coordinated, that looks like a darn good truck for the job. Even better, that town used reasonably priced parts, assembled without a lot of fanfare, but from all appearances quite capable of doing the work. I'm impressed. Thanks for...

    Deuce Halogen Headlight Upgrade

Ordered my lenses... I'll get my bulbs when I see what these look like.

    Non turbo header and stack

Don't get me wrong, I love the sound on your vid. I caught it yesterday on my daily "M35A2/Deuce and a half" Youtube search. There was some guy on here who was trying to sell a header and an intake that he said made something like 350hp on a stock LDT. I'll keep looking for it if nobody else...

    Non turbo header and stack

I was trying to be nice! If you feel frisky, after finding that thread, see if you can scare up that awesome M35A2 lightbar thread that somebody built a couple of months back. My Google-fu is broken somethin' fierce. :naner:

    Non turbo header and stack

Didn't we have a thread here where some guy said he had a header/intake for the LDT that made insane power? I just searched and found nothing. (Not trying to threadjack, trying to relate one to the other)

    media blasting

Ask for pics of previous work and see if you can talk to previous customers. That sounds like a good deal if it's on the level and the guy knows what he is doing. 2cents

    Military Land Rover heat insulation

I have been considering the light adhesive backed foam as well. It's marketed as "Duct insulation" at HDepot and the rest of the big box stores. It might handle heat a little better in certain areas if the seam seal gives you any trouble. But if this stuff is holding up underhood for you, I...

    Still no power

That's what I was wondering. If the fuel you are running is waste oil with a slower burn rate, you might be seeing fuel burn in the exhaust manifold spiking the numbers. Why 5th is so different than steady state in any other gear? Load.

    paint needed

Night vision isn't IR in most cases... it is near-IR. True IR runs just above microwave up to visible light and is what you call "Thermal imaging" in most cases.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

NOOOOOOO!!!!! it will work for a short time then lock solid as the air tool oil swells the o-rings too much!!!

    Tranfer case hodgepodge

Call me contrarian, but I would just get the mount welded. It is done all the time at salvage yards, and any competent welder should be able to do it for less than the cost of the gaskets and lube needed to crack that case.

    M-37 Gearing

I keep toying around with the idea of an M37 or M715 with axles out of the common M1008, smallblock gasoline engine and an overdrive tranny. Not that I need another project I don't have time for, but it would seem to be the easiest solution to the shortcomings of the types.

    Slowest deuce restoration ever

I love a good turbo rebuild thread. Keep up the good fight, and keep taking pics for the rest of us to use the day we have to do ours. Cheers, Heath
