    MKT-85 Recovery...?

Mkt We use ours for Boy Scout long term camps as well as for fundraisers. If you don't want to use it, contact a local Scout troop and see if they would be interested.

    New Trailer

Yes mkcoen, it was not from GL, but did come off their lot, I have dealt with that particular yard guy in the past, he is very "by the book" and I doubt he had any underhanded reason to keep the cans, besides, my "other" source has plenty of them if I need them.

    New Trailer

I would have loved to have the cans, but, I like to stay on the local yard guys good side. There were no pics of the trailer online showing the cans so I didn't want to argue. The tarp is exactly as I picked it up, when you guys say backwards, do you mean the flaps should be on the sides, not...

    New Trailer

Just picked this up for our Scouts use. It's in really great shape, no rust at all. Any info on the surge brakes or things I should look out for. I plan on leaving the stock lights, but want to make an adapter for a 4 flat. It pulled nice behind my Titan. When I picked it up it had about 10...

    MKT as a concession trailer

Thanks for the plug mkoen. We have used our MKT at commercial venues, such as the history event mkcoen mentioned but also at a parade and another festival. Although we have done these things as fundraisers for different organizations (special olympics, boy scouts, etc) not for personal profit...

Boy scout camping with the M1009

We just got a M101 to go with the M1009, we haven't had a chance to put them together yet but we will next month. Got any more pics of the inside of the 101? Our Scouts love the OD stuff too. Where are the biscuits, can't cook in the dutch oven without making biscuits...lol

    MKT fun

Sorry about that, I met some wonderful people from the ALAMO chapter of the MVPA. Seriously, it was nice of you guys to take a Saturday and bring your FMV's out there for the kids. I heard a lot of comments this morning about the cool trucks with the guns...I'm guessing they were talking about...

    MKT fun

I really think the MKT was a large part of the success of our fundraiser, people were just so curious about it. Ill try and get some more pics of the sink, it's pretty simple though. I was a little surprised when it worked as well as it did, plus it "fits" with the rest of the gear, it looks...

    MKT fun

Used the MKT for a special olympics fundraiser this weekend. Here are a few pics. We served 50 lbs of brisket sandwiches, about 260 sausage wraps and 20 gallons of lemonade in about 3 hours. The event was from 10 to 4. there were several other food vendors around us and they didn't get busy...

    bumber number help

Going to put some new numbers on the bumper, and would like to honor my Grandfather in the process. He served in WWII with the 16th armored infantry Division in Europe. I know he was a machine gunner, infantry man, and did stints in graves registration and as a POW guard. Hes long past now and...

    Fuel Injector Cleaner

You learn something new everyday. After putting the BG fuel additive in the tank, our 6.2 ran alot smoother, not sure why but it did

    Fuel Injector Cleaner

Thanks Markg for the advice on the title. I (and a few scouts) changed the oil and filter today. We used BGs 109 oil flush, the 244 fuel additive and the oil additive. It runs like a new truck. I was very surprised and the difference. It ran way smoother, started up faster and really seemed to...

    New M1009

Thanks for the advice, we plan on replacing all the hoses, fluids, belts, filters, shocks, etc all the stuff that doesn't require a lot of mechanical experience, remember 12 to 18 y/o scouts will be doing most of the work. Doc, what did you use to prepare the surface, sandpaper, 3m pads, wire...

    New M1009

Brought home the M1009 last week, just now managed to take a few picks. It runs and drives great, no leaks...inside or out. Shifts alot smoother than I thought it would. The dash seems to have a gray colored vinyl cover glued to it, It looks factory, no cracks in it, i'm not sure if it is...

    Winch, or bed swap

So we have 2 deuces, one deuce with a winch but bad fenders and bed (rust, dents, terrible patch jobs, etc) the other deuce wo/w, has great metal, no rust, very minor work to be done, both run equally well and are very similar in every other way. What are the pros and cons of moving the winch...
