    Are the batteries connected correctly? Assuming the truck is still wired for 24v, then they should be in series, not parallel. If the starter is getting only 12v when it is expecting 24v, that might make it turn the engine over slowly.

    Has this been converted to 12v? Otherwise, the passenger-side alt, GEN 2, is NOT supposed to be grounded at all. It gets its ground reference from the output of GEN 1.     All one circuit. The washer pump is run by the wiper motor.

    If they are still in the circuit, try bypassing the filter capacitor tree that is inline with the connection to the wiper motor. The plug will go right into the pump. You don't need the filter capacitors in there in most cases, and if you are lucky, that is issue.

    The TM's have all the info there. I would suggest the -20p or -34p as they have the parts diagrams in them. There are in the TM section of this site.

    Nope, it is hot all the time. The "switch" for it is making the ground connection, not the hot.

    I believe that is the fuel tank drain line, and is supposed to have a cap on it.
