    900 series

Are there any 900 series cargo trucks to be had anywhere? Thinking of moving up from the Deuce.

    Bobbing my Deuce

Well, I would say that my welding is quality. At least the dozens of 200+mph dragsters, funnycars and prostocks that are running down 1/4 mile tracks and not falling apart should attest to that.

    Bobbing my Deuce

I cut and welded back together the rear frame on mine and have snatched the heck out of it pulling people out and getting pulled out (ask devilman) many times and it is still in one piece. I don't think that the frames on M35's are heat treated at all by the way that they cut with a sawzall and...

    Deuce alternator

I toasted my Alt. on my M35a2. Took it to the local AAMAC auto electric shop and they rebuilt it for $175 with a 1 year warr. Only took them 1 hour to do it.

    Bobbing my Deuce

80% off would not be enough to deal with USA 6x6. The wheels are crap and they promise the world and deliver S**t!! And then they deliver it 6 months after promised, after repeted calls and false promises along the way.(this is my experience along with many many others) As far as width, it...

    Bobbing my Deuce

I think that I would at least drill and bolt 50% or more of the holes, weld the rest. I think that the casting of the brackets would not be as strong with just welding.

    Bobbing my Deuce

Why are you selling it after you went through all of that?

    Rear m35 axle mod

Hummm... flying Deuce...... Monster Garage....

    Rear m35 axle mod

The extra weight of 3' of bed and frame over a bobbed Deuce won't make a noticeable difference in ride height empty. The 3' frame sections and bed sections are only about 150lbs or so. The difference is going to be in the load going into the bed. The origional rear suspension is made to haul...

    M54 Bobed ready to roll

I have a digital level that I used to check the caster before and after milling the wedge blocks. I took off some material from the wedges instead of flipping them. Thinking that 7 or 8 degrees would be too much. I think that I am goiing to try flipping them now which should give me about 6...

    M54 Bobed ready to roll

sidewinder, please let me know what you do to correct the wandering problem. I have the same tires and the same problem with my bobbed m35a2. I have added about 3 degrees of +caster and have the toe in 1/4 in. and it still wanders somewhat.

Singles or duals on a Shorten DEUCE's rear-end?????

I like the look of the duals if you go with the 11.00's like dirtyfingers, personally I don't care for the ndt 9.00's dualed. Singled out I like a bigger tire. The 46's and 53's look really good but with the 53's you should fabricate some lift so they don't rub offroad.

    Bobbing my Deuce

KaiserM109, The only axle ratio is 6.72 to one unless you want to put a different axle in it. Most people put another set of front Deuce springs on the rear but some use the m105 springs although they mount outside of the rails. I also think that they aren't rated as high as the Deuce fronts and...

    Bobbing my Deuce

Best I can figure on mine is about 11mpg. That was on a 225 mile round trip to the Fl Rally a few months ago.
