24 Volt Relay / Fuel Bleeder Screw

I have two questions. First, I have a bad GPC Relay and I happen to have three or four spare, relays that are the same as the GP Relay except they are 24 volts in and out. I also have 2 sets of 24V glow plugs. Can anyone tell me if I can do a manual glow plug set up WITH a 24V relay? Also, I...

    Continuous Glow Plug Burn Up

Thanks for the advice Flyboi. I am running AC Delco 60s which everyone says are the best. Once the injector nozzles get in, I'll change out the plugs again and check the temp. Eventually, I know Im gonna have to rebuild this engine. Maybe this summer.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Changed sway bar bushings, king pin springs, tie rod ends and ball joints. Then glow plugs and fuel filter. Then I snapped the **** bleeder screw. Conveniently, none of the parts stores carry that screw. Any suggestions?

    Need a Moderators Help

im not for sure how big they are and The computer I have them on does not have CD burning capabilities. I have no idea if they are available to the public or not, I just know that they are **** near obsolete. It seems retarded to me that they would not allow a TM to be used by the public. Are...

GP relay "messin with my head"

Ive been getting my ass kicked by my relay as well. I thinkn my problem is actually with the Module though and as I have yet to find a replacement for the module, I am looking around on how to bypass that completely. If you opt to get a new relay, Advanced Auto has them for about $30. PN# S603...

    Warm start problems

When you did your manual override, did you disconnect the light blue wire from the GPC and run it to a switch? Ive seen that on here several times but it doesnt seem to me like that would bypass the module. I will try it though. Since you've dont your override, have you had any trouble starting...

    Warm start problems

Done that. Nothing. Checked the glow plug wires and Im getting nothing when the engine is warm. Works fine when engine is cold. According to the schematics, there should be a recycle on the gpc but after the first cycle, my gpc doesnt cycle again. I traced and checked for voltage and continuity...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately? - Part 1

Replaced the stock fuel pump with one from a 6.5L. PITA but worth it since I didn't have to buy a new one. Had to cut the inlet tube and thread it to put a fitting on and had to readjust the steal outlet line a bit but all went smooth. Did the oil pan and tranny pan/filter last week.....still...

    1984 CUCV M1009 build thread

Did the HMMWV Rims bolt up perfect or did you need spacers? I just tried to put HMMWV rims on my M1008 and the rim actually hits the tie rod. I didn't see anything in your thread that mentioned spacers or mods. Thanks.
