Lucky dog... Dont come to Michigan, atleast in the winter.
A big THANKS to everyone.
I do feel sorry for that little guy in the pic.
One thing I did'nt think of is the NOISE that is coming from the aircleaner. I took the cleaner off and fired it up, and ya it's much louder.. But, I kinda...
The nice thing about these trucks is that they have seperate pipes. When you start it and you see one side is still smoking after a few you can tell which side you have to check, narrowing it down to one side. Hopefully one plug goes out at a time.
:ditto:
We dont have that many rocks in Michigan, but I had 37's on my 1/2 ton GMC and I did some wheelin with it with no problem's.
I'm not sayin you wont have a problem, but I think the shock the wheels take will break it. Meaning, if you have a tire spinning and it slams down with force...
Sorry to hear about your waste of time. I've been on some of those goose chases. I'm pissed just hearing about it, and to think you could have got alot more done and posted more pics. Lookin good tho...
Hey all,
I'm not looking to hot rod my 09, but I noticed if I hold my hand half way on the opening of the aircleaner it wants to suck it in (like the stock aircleaner assembly inlet is restricting it from air). I was thinking of a K&N air filter that is 3" taller than stock, and I was going to...
Like all other vehicles these were mass produced. I'm not saying its not on there, but I dought they made frames to match vin #'s. Unless they stamped them in the factory to match the vin.
Maybe you could take a few leaves out of there witch would lower the stance in the back and possibly give you a better ride. I would be carefull, I dont know what it would do to the axle wrap. Or replace spring's.
One more option. Go to members rides on the main page, look at 2011 vin info. If your truck has identification numbers on the bumper and tailgate you can get ahold of CARNAC and maybe he can make some sense of all this.
Yeah, if ya really want to know - I would start by looking for witness marks around the vin plate, maybe you will see where someone was messing with it.
That's strange, I to think the vin plate was swithed. If he used another cab from a 2wd it's alot of work getting the wiring, switches and 4wd lever put in.
