Well its supposed to help not damage the tire at 30mph for 30 miles. Some of you say it comes in a packet and i found that its also obtained in a 55 gal drum. Nearly new tires i have seen with it in the tire looks like it was put in the center of the tread (inside) with an industrial caulking...
I tried looking through the TMs but couldnt find anything. Does anyone know the answer?
I have the high suspicion that it is your standard tire lube Likel Murphy's tire lube or something of that nature. I have seen Hummer tires with the yellow grease like color when a tire is near new and it...
Ive pulled semi tires appart that had a path worn though the innerlinner casing a seperation before. I belive equil powder is the only real way to go for an int the tire solution, and I dont even really like it...
The only really decent product available is "Equal" its a powder that you throw in the tire. It only works if there is little to no humidity in the air. Usually you need an air dryer for the air hose unless you live in the desert. Hummer tires normally have a grease like material in them. It is...
That would come im handy pushing the pop cans off the I-5 since very few people know how to drive in Seattle any more... Kina has a RR engine cattle catcher look to it... I Like
Ya you could run those on steer and 1100R20 on drives. Last batch i saw came out of Cali some where. Not easy to find on the Left Coast. You may be able to find them easier where your at.
If your leaning to the 1400R 20 you will have to run them all the way around.
As i rember the 365 were on a more skookum wheel much like the hemmit wheels. Ill try and see if i have a pic some where.
There are some really good points here and I will add a couple of mine.
1 get the inside chain tight the outside of the chain is easy to adjust. Driving a SHORT distance (50 yards) will loosen things up so that you can re-tighten.
2 Bungees are good put properly tighten chains are better
3 That...
There is a 365/85R20 Mich XZL that is 45" OD According to the mich Site but as i rember they are pretty darn close to both the 1100r 20 and the 14.5R20 It could just the bet metric size marking with the tread design that is common now. I saw some 365 that came out of Cali but those were the only...
Ive had the fortunate experience to see them on practice strafing runs on Nellas AFB in NV, And "Lofting" bombs over a mile. I considered it pretty impressive that these planes/pilots could take a dummy bob and throw it over a mile and hit a tank with it. They would fly about 200Ft off the...
Its definitely a possibility that it sat low on the rim weakening the cords. From some of the Pics it looks like the tire started to seperate before it blew. Did the front end start to shake and shudder just before it blew? How hot was it? How long had you been driving it?
Could just be a...
Well we can only guess as to the real problem but here is some basics as to how a tire works and why. Tire failure normally has to do with developing heat. Heat exposes weak points in the tires and then they fail. Load, Speed & Distance are the triangle of load carrying capacity of tires Doing...
Very Cool! I know that the Grant County Fire department in Moses Lake WA has several of thes 5 ton trucks setup. Unlike the ones in this picture they have several thousand gallon tanks and a remote nozzle on he front bumper where the driver can run down a prairie fire and spray as he drives...
When using the ratche strap method, make sure the ratchet mechanism is NOT locked but very easy to let loose..(ratchet not completely closed).
The explosion method works I think the tire leaned up agains something rather than on a 5 gal bucket works better...
OR like many people have said...
The wheels are a bolt together style that are very difficult to changewithout destroying the studs. You could replace the studs with grade 8 hardware that you grind the heads to fit, but iw would be spendy. The NDT style has not been in use for some time. There are suitable replacement tires and...
The G177 are very similar to most logging/dumptruck tires found around. They are a heavy traction. I think the only way you may be able to get more traction is to bump up to a 395 in the XML pattern, the trade off is they wouldnt wear as well.
