Adjust the shift point by loosening the actuator on the side of the IP. I believe it points a little forward and if you back the 2 screws out, rotate the actuator more forward, and then tighten the screws up it will drop the points at which the tranny shifts. Looks like a black plastic doohickey...

Forgot who it was that put some sort of intake on his 1009 and plumbed it into the pass side inner fender but they said the motor was a little quieter. I just did my damnedest to line up my new power steering pump in better alignment w/ the belt and that quieted my noise quotient a tad. Spray...

Might have to remove that bell housing shield pan thingy to get the drill in place. They usually back right out. I did it with a regular drill bit in rev once... got lucky. Easy outs are the best though

Wat the hell is a fuel distributor? Id bet hes sucking air in someplace, rubber hose or filter housing or something... Have your mechanic show you wat this distbutor is. Id be very intrested on how much it is as well.

If u just changed the fuel filter it is quite possible theres air in the line OR you didnt get a good seal when you put it back together. AIR IN THE FUEL WILL MAKE IT REV HIGHER FOR A BIT TIL IT DIES...
If you havent changed the glo plugs this could also be part of your problem. Just one or 2...
