What did you do to your deuce this week?

If I was to purchase just one I would go with 2542A41. It will cover Std thread 3/8 thru 5/8 (11,12,13,14 and16) and fine thread 3/8 to over 1”(12,14,16,18,20 and 24).

    New MEP-003A

Very nice setup. I also like the boxes and the fuel tank mounted on the trailer.

    blowing rear main seal

Something else could be to much longitudinal crankshaft movement due to excessive clearance in the thrust bearings.

    blowing rear main seal

If it is for a fact engine oil I would suspect like stated above that it has enough wear or a defect in the surface of the crank hub to require a sleeve. Outside chance could be that for some reason the hub has to much radial run out.

    6.2 intake porting question

No reason you couldn't. With forced induction the smoothness of the runners and ports is not as critical but cleaning them up and gasket matching can only help reduce any turbulence that could affect cylinder packing.

    MEP002A Priming

I believe he is looking for item #2 in the diagram. It holds the metal filter can on and is through drilled and a pipe plug installed in the end.

    First Deuce Winter Experience

I made out pretty good in the 26 ~ 28” snow a few years back running NDT/NDCC on the deuce. If I remember I aired down the rears to 15 ~ 20# and the front to 30#. Nice and easy on the brakes and throttle and I was driving along were most were stuck including a NG HMMWV.

Issues with oil pressure and possibly related to fuel issues

:ditto: And have you checked your engine oil level to see if you have fuel in the oil (making oil)?

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Same way with me when I first got my deuce. You start to get use to the different vibrations, noises and idiosyncrasy of the truck and get comfortable with a 40 year old vehicle you actually have to drive and pay attention to.

Latest Southern CUCV Fresh Restoration M1009

Man another great looking CUCV. [thumbzup][thumbzup] I like the added touch with the hub caps.

    No 5th gear

You might want to check out TM 9-2520-246-34-1. It is the transmission / transfer case TM. The large gear with chewed up teeth is the 1st / reverse gear and is not synchronized so it leads a hard life.

    why bob

Also some states treat any 3 axle vehicle as commercial, no matter the weight or use so it is a way around the CDL B.S. and they are less expensive and more available than a M37 or M715. 2cents

Help with oil change on 71 m35a2c

You can drain the oil filters by removing this drain plug. I do this and leave them drain while I check the differentials, transmission and transfer case oil. This works good for me and no oil spills to clean up.
