could a bent drive shaft crack a th400

Yeah I thought my tranny was alright too. But I had tranny fluid dripping just a few miles out of Ft Mead with my 1008. My damage was to the shaft and the tranny to T-case adapter. I would definitely look at your adapter also. Being bolted on, it would suffer some pretty impressive forces.

    Accident

Sorry to read about your mishap. I hope you can get everything taken care of by the ins co before your move. Sometimes after you move out of their area, some companies try to "forget about" you. If they seem to be dragging their feet, I'd put some pressure on them.;-)

    GL ambalance at Ft. Meade

Enter thru the Reece Rd entrance. You will need photo ID (Driver's license) for EACH person entering the base. Plus insurance papers and registration on the vehicle you are driving in. Turn left on Ernie Pyle St. go to Huber St and veer right on Huber. At Rock Ave turn right. Ignore the...

    1008 is getting lighter

I didn't weigh it of course, but I'd guess the seats are about 70-80 lbs a side and the shelving was about the same. Probably about 200 to 240 lbs total would be my guess. The truck looks smaller to me without the seats/racks on it. Now I have room to put one of my four wheelers in it!

    1008 is getting lighter

It was pretty easy really. The radio rack has a lip on the rear side that has 3 or four bolts/screws in it. You unscrew the power cord from the power distribution box that is fastened onto the rack and then wiggle the rack out. The power cord must come out from the front and up thru the bed...

I don't think you even cracked the throttle past fast idle!:-D My 08 is a saviour in our icy conditions down here. It has already paid for itself this winter alone. Electrical disturbance....help!

I just went thru a similar run with my 1008. Intermittent electrical gremlins are hard to fix. Mine turned out to be (I hope!) the brown wire (That had been changed to black.) in the plastic connector of the driver's side alt. I cleaned this connection twice before going spastic on it the third...

M1009 Recovery in Jeff City, MO

Nice buy. And I could see perfectly well thru that fence. ;-) With the prices I am hearing, my $540 1008 was a pretty good buy. I don't mind telling the price, 'cause I'm not planning on selling!:-D And at Ft Mead and Drexel Gardens/Stout Field I had that much fun just drooling over the stuff I...
