I went for a couple of hours yesterday. I took my M929 and my buddy took my M932a2 with the shortened cargo body. My buddy was amazed at the lack of red tape involved (like the good old days). As always we had a great time, lots of nice trucks , good food and polite people. Definitley at the...
My oil is full and clean also. I installed RR's recommended filter/regulator/oiler and it definitley shifts nicer. My truck doesnt make much noise at highway speeds , actually I cant believe how nice and smooth it is at 55-60 (on the speedo). I ordered a low height sliding 5th wheel and im going...
I just bought my first M916... With a cat 7155 trans. Nice truck. I'm going to use it under a lowboy and a dump trailer. But first i have to work out some bugs. The wires from the jake brake pedal run into the 7155 trans. Can I bypass that (wire it like a civvy manual trans truck) or is it...
I meant thats what this hobby is about...driving your mv's. Lots of people dont have trips to remember, me and you are some of the lucky ones. I've broken down in a brand new truck ...anything can happen, its a machine. He's buying it from a reliable seller (not govliq) who says he thinks the...
You might be able to ship it cheaper...BUT...It's a once in a lifetime experience, enjoy yourself. Thats what this is all about. I ordered a new kenworth 6 years ago, went to the factory ,watched it get built and drove it home from the factory...that memory will always be there.
I wouldnt be too concerned about the click....trucks do that once in a while. If it becomes a normal thing where it'll click over and over then start I'd address it. chances are the rebuilt starter wont be perfect. It could also be your control box..they"ll give you a click sometimes too. I...
The biggest problem with a locker in the front is when both tires are spinning you slide sideways, with locking hubs you can unlock one side and get thru an off camber situation. I've had lockers in the front of jeeps,Light trucks and heavy trucks for 25 years and in a straight flat...
Theres a member that has a green/black camo m916 with a tank trailer on it in his avatar. Ive searched and searched. I cant find them, can sombody direct me ? thanks
Check your air lines make sure they are going to the right places...5 out of 7 trucks i got were plumbed wrong. Bypass the valve that engages the front axle when you put the t-case in low range. That valve just puts more bind on the driveline when you want to shift out of low.
16.00's are rated 55mph at full rated load. 14000+ lbs per tire, on a m923/925 you've got less than 3700 lbs on each tire (average). Ive driven my M932 over an hour at 65-75 with NO shaking or wobbling and my michelin XZL 16.00's were barely warm to the touch.
I saw that truck last week, its definitley a road ranger and thats definitley a clutch pedal. I cant tell if they left it 6x6 though. I'd bet its an air actuated clutch set-up.
Ive had 2 sets of goodyear 16.00's. Both sets were brand new and they hopped. Ive had 3 (1 set with tubes)sets of michelin 16.00's...smooth as silk from 1 mph to 75+ mph (on a closed course with a professional driver of course). The funny part is the goodyears werent consistent, the wobble...
