Deuce cranks but no start - ITP source?

Post in the "parts wanted" forum about it. A few members have had a new style pump for sale every now and then.

    Low Oil Pressure

I was thinking that same thing. Any evidence that you are getting diesel fuel mixed in the motor oil and thinning it or is this with fresh oil.

VIDEO - 5 ton desert chase scene

About 12 hours away from buying my first deuce!!!

Congratulations on the purchase. Be sure to give the brake system a thorough going over. It's great to go driving but even better to be able to stop.

    Brake light switch

Something you need to do also is remove this old switch. The reason for the change to the air switch was to remove the old style switch which can rupture and cause a loss of brakes.

    Axle noise? video

Pretty much nature of the beast. When I was a mechanic at a construction company all the Mack dumps had the top loader double reduction third members like the deuce and always had that whine at road speed while the trucks like the GMC's and Pete's with the single ratio hypoid third members...

    Brake light switch

Also have you tried with the light switch in the “service drive” position ?

Make sure that the valve for the trailer service air is open and go back in the cab and depress the brake pedal. If you hear the sound of air escaping...

    '71 M35A2 air compressor lubrication

If it where me and have the funds I would replace with new. One very, very, very important thing to be very careful of is not to let any gasket sealant / RTV in the oil supply passage in the compressor mount or gasket...

Parts list for complete axle service.

Make sure the instructor has the manual pages and illustrations for the work they are doing because these are different from regular civvy truck axles they are use to. Be sure that you have new copper washers for the banjo bolts that connect the brake hoses to the wheel cylinders. Be sure the...
