    Looking into getting a Mutt

If you ever want to drive a deuce, something that will help is moving the peddles down about 2-3 inches in the bracket. My '72 had detents in the rod below the peddle where you could adjust them, my '87 didn't, but we made some and it is night and day better. I am only 6'3" but to use the...

    NEW FL. MK48s

I am curious what is the ballpark cost of Recovering one of these trucks, including the shipping cost to Dallas, TX area? (assuming another lot becomes available in the future) (assuming you would still be interested in doing this after experiencing the fun first hand. :) )

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Removed the old seats and installed new Humvee seats in my Deuce. Adjusted my peddles lower (for access with long legs), brother made rubber donuts on the peddles so when they are released the rubber donut is between peddle and bottom of floor. Also seals the hole in the floor where the...

Going rate for set of bows/uprights

Wow, I have been looking for cargo bows/staves/corners for a while now. I just ordered new fiberglass bows, staves, with new corners and straps from the manufacture for $342. Wish I had known you were selling. :(

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Started replacing my old T-case with a NOS one. Old T-Case has a bearing that was going to eventually go out, so I decided to replace it on my terms instead of down the road. I used a chain and the access panel in the center floor area to lift and then lower it to the ground, moved over the...

    CHOCK those tires!!

Wow, it is an F-16 Chock, and yes an F-16 can jump the chocks as well as any of these trucks, but it should hold against gravity assuming you are not pointed down a serious hill side. I also see old "F-16" chocks used all the time for trucks albeit none as pretty as my shinny new one. :) (but...

    CHOCK those tires!!

The yellow wood one is 14 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and 3.5 inches tall. The rope is about 3 ft long (3/4 inch dia.) Hope this helps

    New from FT Sill

There are a ton of them. They range from shelters and civilian campers being placed in the back of a deuce, to M109s (Shop Van trucks) being converted, to semi-trailers being turned into rolling suites. I'm fairly impressed with the truck you purchased and suggest you start a thread detailing...

    Insurance on an LVS MK-48?

I used Gulfway on my deuce that I bought last year at a good price for full coverage. :driver: I'm in the process of getting a quote for a new M109A3 that I will be picking up as soon as my EUC clears.

FDC Engaged - Can you still burn WMO?

Just started researching FDC info since a M109A3 purchase has a big yellow "Diesel only" sticker on the fuel filter housing. Sounds like I should leave it "as-is" based on this information. Curious why my much newer 1987 M35A2C didn't come with the FDC bypassed/yellow sticker based on this...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

I wondered what those were, never would have guessed they were holders for the soft top bows. Thanks for the pictures!

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My oil pressure gauge was showing a very slow pressurization speed upon start up (30 seconds). My brother and I hooked up a mechanical gage to the port just rear of the two oil filters and he watched it as I started my deuce. The Mechanical gauge said that my military gauge was lying to me...
