You can't mix the two. Usually when a truck was converted by the Army they put a label to note silicon only. Mine was DOT 3 fluid I am sure. To change, the whole system has to be either changed out or flushed really good. Alan

If you have the maint manual on page 340 and 341 it says to add 12 quarts of the oil. Capacity is around 16 quarts. But needs to be topped up by running and checking the dip stick. Alan
