When I went for a water pump they wanted to look it up by vehicle even though I knew the number. It made them happy to find it when we looked for a late 1950's GMC pickup truck with the 302 engine in it.
Nice truck! You have really clear window glass there. Humm... even the interior got painted. Are you going to go back with the original paint color?
Alan
That photo shows a two color air cleaner. OD Green on top and black on the bottom. I am pretty sure mine has never been painted and is all OD green. Was there any difference between US and Canadian trucks?
Alan
Welcome to the Early Deuce forum. We love pictures! Let us see what you have.
The electric fuel pump switch was added. Does the pump in the fuel tank still work? I would guess not since they added one under the hood.
The other switch should be the (3 connector early switch), 4...
Anyone up near Spokane that wants to save some parts. Go to the Spokane Craigs list site and search on:
1950's military army GMC 2 1/2 TON 6X6 BODY PARTS
Some nice stuff there for the price.
I compared it to what's left of mine and except for the length it is same outside.
I took the old one apart before. I wanted to see how this one was made so I took this flexible camera to look.
The construction is the same but there not a blocking metal piece right behind the inlet. Plus the...
Well guys, NOS stuff is still out there.
This Sat I went over to a guy’s place 1 hour from here cause he said he had some M211 stuff.
So I get there and he has an old M211 sitting in his back yard, not for sale. So he is older and wants to start selling stuff. So we go in his shop and...
Even though my slave cylinders were new opening the bleeder screw did help. The drum has to not have any angle to it when you go to slide it over the shoes. I still had one very tight one and that position gets hot so I might have to go back in that one.
Here you go: http://www.odcloth.com/m211.html#M211
Then there is: http://www.newlifecanvas.com/m135-m211.html
They both make good stuff. New Life can be hard to get a hold of. Dave at odcloth is reliable. Some of his seat covers have been tight in the past but then not all seats are the same.
If you don't want to rebuild the one in the tank you can get an external one. Try here:

Here is their product: http://www.alfaheaven.com/MilitarySection/InstFuel.html
I have not done this mod but I think you might still need to get in the tank to make...
There should be a hot wire going to the switch. Then there are most of the time two wires coming off of the switch that are hot when turned on. One of those goes to the coil. Sometimes there is a third wire that comes out and is not used.

Yep was cruising across the yard after I got my truck and the same thing happened.
Ten minutes with black elec tape and it was running again. I have a harness to fit once I start re-doing her.
Alan
Since all the airpack does is boost the hydraulic pressure of the brake fluid you might have some weak brakes. But you would have pressure for testing like you said. That first block can split the fluid from and rear like it does coming out of the airpack. I would think if you got tubing and...
I finally got around to finishing my first battery tray repro. I had a few issues on one corner and will put that on the back side next to the firewall. I know what I did wrong on this one and will correct on the next one.
I used a piece of brake line to create the drain and braised in...
Hey Dan,
