Only 16 hrs according to yahoo maps each way. I am guessing more then that in real driving time though. If I could work it into a vacation trip it might work, but to much for me otherwise. If anyone is going there for their own tires and could help me out with shipping on that side I would...
I had started this thread because of the cyclic trend I was seeing in GL auctions. GL auctions are not comparable to Ebay or private sales. If nothing else the scale of the audience for each means they have nothing to do with each other. Almost everyone that has a computer has stopped by Ebay...
Well it sounds like all you need is a helpful original buyer to get in touch with Gene and you have this figured out. If for some reason you have to find the original auction listing you might be able to use one of the internet archieves to find it. Maybe searching with the VIN. Otherwise...
Oh I should say that I went to the main Richmond location for the GL title. The teller went back and forth with someone in the back. After asking if this was an online sale she said something about them not offering titles anymore for this. The person in the back was familiar with GL from our...
I am considering bidding on some tires that are for sale at Texarkana, Tx. and was wondering if anyone has any shippers they have dealt with and would suggest? Also what class would tires stacked and banded to a pallet be? I'll go thru GL's shipper list tomorrow to see what they can do.
Thanks
SierraHotel was the first owner of your truck the Sheriffs Department or the Sheriff personal purchase from GL?
Anyways I spent most of the day at DMV offices waiting in line. Most of it was for non-GL things though. I did try to make contact with the titling department. Unfortunaltly the...
I would love to see a deuce next to that for comparison. She must be at least 5' tall and she is just up to the underside of the fender. Would that thing even be legal to drive on the highway for a civilian due to its size?
If I remember correctly from my past research in Virginia tow yards are required to sell the vehicles at a public auction, so that is no good. In Virginia you can have a vehicle abandoned on your own property, but the second paragraph concerns me...
Hey if you go to the 7-11 with the rifle drive the deuce. That way if they confiscate your ride the next guy will get a title at the police auction  :D
The Va. DMV definatly knows about GL's practices. Another guy here who was exploring this with me got in touch with a friend in...
This is why I made it a point to say I am an idiot :cookoo:
See I could imagine it would be easy to assume everything was covered with the title as he got the SF97 which is a federal title and a bill of sale at least until talking to the DMV. It is not like the seller did not have a title to...
This question has good timing as I have set my own personal deadline to either send a letter demanding a SF97 before I take GL to small claims or cave and just pay the $60 per SF97 to go their route. I have three vehicles that need SF97s so this adds up. All were purchased before they changed...
From what I have been told they use the same sets, but the 5 ton uses six sets instead of five the deuce uses. I am not sure about using them without the seats. Go to this old thread where I listed the measurements I got off a deuce with all wood...
RE: Re: RE: M105 Tow ring flip and other questions.
I'll bring the impact to make this easier on me. No this is just planning a pickup that I have to make this thursday. There are what looks like some nice ones comming up though.
