Everyone has given good advice you just need to get a meter and start tracing to see where the voltage is comming from , pull the starter relay and see if you are still getting voltage from the keyswitch. A stuck keyswitch or solenoid will give you this problem. Good Luck.
Bench testing will show if you have a bad solenoid. I assume that now at least the key switch will engage and disengage the starter since you replaced the relay. Did you keep the old starter? some can be used for parts. I have never taken mine out but have delt with many other starters. I just...
Sounds like a stuck relay or switch causing the starter to remain on. I had that happen on a Jeep when I had cranked it too long and the switch stuck closed, not fun removing an energized lead.
I was at work Friday when one of my guys got a 9000lb lift buried in the soft clay while moving some equipment. He had it almost to the frame. So I go get the CUCV to pull her out. After 3 tries I said SCREW IT and got the deuce. 6X6 Fixes everything!!!!!:-D:-D:-D
I pulled my instrument cluster to replace a bunch of bad bulbs only to find that dirt had caused a lack of conductivity. So I cleaned and greased each one with dielectric grease now they are great. I use dielectric grease on all my elect connections and they perform flawlessly. I agree with the...
The basic set up is easy if you have welding skill. imagine two bowls one with a diameter of 14" and another with the diameter of 8" the 8" one is slightly(about 2") shorter than the 14" one so the rotor that fits inside can sling oil on to the 14' one. Both have individual drains. This is the...
Make sure you have 24v under load. I have a jeep that I can open the doors (remote) on but once I go to start it ...nothing. I traced it back to one bad cable end. I would put the meter on it and then try to start it.
