I don't know, mine is an '86 and it had two of those crappy relays under the dash, one burned up and the other waiting to screw me the first chance it got.
^^^ I have similar experiences only without the fluid ever returning. Once every other month or so I'll pop the top off the master cylinder and it'll be a half inch low. I keep a bottle of fluid tucked down next to the coolant overflow tank for refilling. I've never figured out where it's...
I got the GoLight from GimpyRobb installed on the right side antenna riser. That spot was reserved for the UHF amateur antenna, but I decided to go with a dual-band antenna on the left side instead.
The first problem with the install is that the light mount has a 4" bolt circle, while the...
You can install it yourself- that's a $300 bill in your pocket. Don't forget they're going to tell you your U-joints are shot and your drive shaft need to be rebalanced.
Tell him you consulted with the guys on the Steel Soldiers forum and they suggested $3,000 for it. I mean, hey, I said it, so you just need one more person to say it and it's a "they". :D
I found a plastic one on craigslist for cheap and tried to make it work, but it didn't. I tried it on the driver's side on top of the jerry can bracket-nope. Cut the jerry can bracket off the floor- still nope. Ended up selling on cl for about $10 more than I paid for it.
[thumbzup] lol!
Mine seems to dog on long hills and the filter is pretty new. I think I'll swap it out this weekend and see if it helps- they're cheap enough.
I was afraid that when I installed the fuel manager and put the brass couplers to extend the fuel hose, that they were reducing...
My glow plugs will cause that if I don't wait for them to cycle off. The landing lights will as well, if they're on when I accelerate from idle. They don't cause the belts to squeal at idle or above idle- only when accelerating from idle.
I thought I would post this in the radiator thread but I can't figure out the search function today. So anyhow, Advance Auto Parts has a 35% discount coupon code that should work on most parts, it looks like tools and oils are excluded.
CODE MISSUA5
I'm guessing the mil-spec is related to the overall operating environments in which the CUCVs were expected to perform. The thinking may have been; it gets cold in Eastern Europe, well, at least until WWIII goes nuclear.
It doesn't get nearly that cold where you are. Run the heavier.
The M1009 sat patiently while I took care of one of the other vehicles in the motor pool. Changed the oil and filter on the wife's Liberty and then got to swapping out the wheels on my toolbox.
It seems they spared at least one expense on this toolbox and it's the wheels. They started...
LOL When I was stationed at Charleston AFB I had an un-AC'd Ford Courier. Those little windows are great if you're moving.
I was on Dorchester waiting to turn left into the base after a heavy rain, so humidity was 99% or more. It was about 90-something degrees so all the windows were down...
I put a petcock on mine so that I could use the vacuum pump to pull fuel into the filter. Never had to worry about air bubbles- just let the vacuum pump fill the filter and then fire it off. It surges two or three times and then it's fine.
