M-1028 Paint job, 383 green CARC / Rock Slider installation.

Well I started the installation of Shakem-Deep's sliders. I decided to go black to match the bumpers, I have been lazy and they are still primer gray. Mike from Clark's 4X4 said "These are the best custom made Nerf bars I have ever seen." I am liking this build. I also removed the bench...

M-1028 Paint job, 383 green CARC / Rock Slider installation.

We are sanding and doing the body work this week. I will keep the pictures coming on the paint job and the use of CARC. I ordered some extreme FatMat for the floor, back wall and inside the door skins. This will cut down on noise and help insulate. I went with black loop carpet instead of cut...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Completed the paint job, now for the final touches, stencils and what not. I ordered a supply of extreme Fat Mat for the floor, I have not decided if I was going carpet or a rubber mat...? Incidentally the hardest part of the whole job was sandblasting the rims to a commercial gray.

    Why so many start issues?

Also of note. The battery connection between the battery's, The series connection battery cable should be double the normal connection size. I find this cable gets hotter than the final connection. I found this small change does wonders.[thumbzup]

    Hard top Vs. soft top

Personally I will vote TOPLESS any time/anywhere but when it comes to a Deuce I would go hardtop since this would be indigenous to my region. In Michigan 1 hour its sunny and dry the next it's hailing or rain. Also with the weight of the snow its more practical.

Shakem-Deep Well I started the installation. I decided to go black to match the bumpers. I had a few body men there looking at a few of the customary body dent repairs and they loved these sliders. Mike from Clarks 4X4 said "These are the best custom made nerf bars I has ever seen." I am...
