America 's first jet flight, Oct 1942.

I am a big fan of "Alternative History" scenarios and I wonder what the Japanese would have thought if a couple of squadrons of jets had risen to meet them when they approached Pearl Harbor.

So what do you do with your deuce for fun?

I use mine for all kinds of things....especially if I need to haul more than the big Dodge dually can handle. For what you get they are cheap to keep. A man and his deuce....it's a beautiful thing.:driver:

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

Great in theory.......impractical in practice......they have pulled up thousands of miles of railroad tracks because the truth is that most small railroads never made a dime......only after they were swallowed up by the big guys did a few of them make money. Most short lines were subsidized by...

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

Looks like an unfunded state mandate that favors one company that had already built an engine that conformed to the regulations being written. It also gives a big advantage to fleets that can purchase new equipment and puts owner-operators at a disadvantage. At one time owner-operators hauled...

    WA Weigh Stations

I have passed many, many weigh stations in an MV (while in the Army and now) and have never had a DOT guy come after me. This includes M915's which are commercial vehicle size.

has anyone ever seen a diesel converted to propane?

After 911 they installed a huge emergency generator at my Army Reserve unit (we were a division headquarters). It was powered by a 60 series Detriot diesel converted to run on natural gas. I talked to the guy that was installing it and he said it was not an uncommon coversion.....I think it...

    NASA Missile Hauler...

They didn't call them "Draggin Wagons" for nothing. I made a pickup at some military base and there was one of those doing "Gate Guardian" duty near the place I was loading at. If I remember correctly they were chain drive.

    Civil War re-enactment

We had a Civil War artillery battery come to one of our Command Retreats and fire a volley when the flag was being lowered during the ceremony. Very impressive.

    M35a3 road tractor

If you are going to pull light loads you will be fine......you will have to install air lines with shut off valves to put air on any trailer you want to pull. You will also need a "pogo stick" to hold the pigtail used to power the lights on the trailer.....I would wire it to pull military and...

    24 volt AC/heater units

I won some of these at Redstone today. A.R. Lintern Inc air conditioner assembly PN 072514584 24 V DC. They are heating and cooling units and I think they can be modified to work on various MV's. They are new and in the crate and have everything needed to install (may have to have a...

New EPA Regulations On Large Truck Emissions

Anybody that believes that the gooberment needs more money to waste is free to write them a check. I just love rich liberals that want to take other peoples money and give it to non-productive eaters that have no purpose in life other than sucking off the public teat.
