    Wreckerman's new M915 home

That depends on if someone with more money than sense walks into the back yard and offers me far more than I paid for it. By the way her name is "Rachel Devine" or "Rachel Dee" for short. Had I ever been blessed with a daughter that would have been her name.

    Wreckerman's new M915 home

I bit the bullet today and ordered a stock fuel line that goes all the way from the pump to the rear of the engine. I will most likely have to cut a hole in the firewall to install the new line as there is absolutly no room or way to get to the back of the engine when the line goes in. Prob...

    Wreckerman's new M915 home

There is absolutly no way to get a flaring tool in where the fuel line is cut off.........it will have to be compression fittings or replace the whole line.

    Wreckerman's new M915 home

I got the M915 back to the LZ today (no pics of the recovery but it was uneventful). When we got ready to load her up we found that some Ahole had taken a fitting off the fuel pump and she could not be cranked. We used a truck on the yard to charge the air system and winched her up on the...

    Detroit 8V92 vs. Cummins NTC-400

A 60 series Detroit is just a CAT painted green......if I remember correctly there was a lawsuit over the 60 series concerning patent infringement. I had a 97 Freightliner with a 60 Series in it and I loved it.....I could leave Huntsville, AL with a loaded tanker (grossing 78,000 pounds) and...

    M923 - Reverse Shifting

It is not really a good idea to shift a deuce or old 5 ton from Lo to Hi while moving either.....not as likely to cause a problem but best to err on the side of caution.

    M59 Ranges and MBU's

    Dangerous Trailer Loading

"You can't fix stupid"......Ron White "But you can make it expensive and painful"......Wreckerman As the old adage says....."there is never a cop around when you need one".

    M123A1C found hiding out!!

Scrap value for both would be north of 6 grand at 10 bucks per hundred pounds. You might use that as a reference.

    Detroit 8V92 vs. Cummins NTC-400

I have driven OTR and I always hated a "double breasted Detriot". They have to be driven wide azz open to get anything out of them. I especially hated the 318......if it was not tuned right you could say "hill" on the CB radio and the truck would drop 20 MPH. On the other hand the fastest...

    Wreckerman screwed the pooch

I think I have most of the parts rounded up thanks the those similarly afflected folks who have offered to help out. Freighttrain has a radiator and TWright (Tony) says he has most of the sheet metal. I will document the proceedure as I go......pics will be posted of the guilty parties.

    m-931 brakes

A truck with caged brakes is an unguided missile. Trying to load it on a trailer can be very dangerous if you are not winching it on and then once it is up on the level deck you have to throw a chock under one or more wheels to stop it.......getting it off is just as tricky unless, as stated...

    Wreckerman screwed the pooch

Jim......I'll call Tony tomorrow.....I know he has a butt load of parts over there...got a in tank pump from him a while back.....the radiator is the big issue.....mine is FUBAR unless I have it rebuilt. Thanks for all the (im)moral support from the peanut gallery.rofl It's nice to know...

    Wreckerman screwed the pooch

I take full responsibility for the transgression.....I was a Transportation soldier......we had a whole class devoted to securing and chocking vehicles.....NO EXCUSE SIR!!!!!auaauaaua I'm already flling out the Article 15 paperwork and the Statement of Charges. I forsee several weeks of...
