Welcome to the OD green loony bin.:cookoo:
The big support group meets in Oct at the GA rally.:jumpin:
My name is Wreckerman and I'm an MV addict.aua
I can quit anytime I want to......but why.
While I feel the pain of our friends across the pond in regard to getting parts I do not sell to over seas parties mostly due to the probs described in the first post.
This is in addition to all the scams going on.
I am also currently fighting a virus that invaded my computer through a link I...
We called them "idiot sticks" when I was in.....but they were good aiming devices.
I became wary of them when I slipped while climbing off my wrecker and almost impaled my self on one......putting the big knob on top is a good idea.
To add a cool factor of ten you can put a yellow LED on...
I have an M275 and that beast is not even close......275,s had the fuel tank on the drivers side. It was longer and flatter than the standard tank.
Also had a catwalk behind the cab where the spare tire and pioneer tool rack were mounted and the air lines and electrical plug were.
I would agree...
This is just a thought but if it your personal tank (God I love this country) you could form a LLC, (maybe as a movie props company) and you would be able to write off a lot of expenses associated with the beast. That would include moving it for "promotional" purposes.
I have operated several...
Fear not noble purests.......my intentions for the M275 are honorable......I will be as respectful of her as a nerd on prom night who is escorting the professional wrestlers daughter.
The only mod will be taller tires for milage and top end.
At 77,000 you are going to be overweight no mater what you pull it with.
Gross vehicle weight in most states with a standard 5 axle tractor trailer is 80,000 and you still have to be legal per axle (12K steering, 34k on tandems and 34k on trailer axles).
Don't even think about trying to pull it...
Heavy...the guy in Rome is not Tony......I have sold axles and other stuff to him. Seems to be a decent guy to do biz with.
Tony.....I bought two deuces a couple years ago out of a junkyard that had been sitting a long time. Both of them went WOT when I started them.....I was told that if that...
I think my main objective in the next few months is going to be getting the M275 tractor ready for the GA rally in Oct.
It's biggest need is paint and that is a fairly reasonable cost. I have twin springer seats in it and it has a hardtop so it is mostly a cosmetic job.
I'm going to to try to...
Well the M816 left today on the end of a hook ....it was purchased by a tow company that will use it for it's intended purpose (as opposed to being loaded on a slow boat to China in small pieces).
As much as I wanted to keep it and get it running it had turned into an OD green money...
SON!!!!!!!Ya done good.....the radiator would scrap for 50 bucks at least (if you got lucky and it is good then you really got over).
Keep all the good parts and sent the rest to China (via your local scrapper).
Use the profit to buy the guy a cold one.....he did you a solid.
Lay it on a flat surface and pound it straight with a hammer.....it should slide in and out fairly easy.
If not there may be something sticking out that the stick is catching on.
:oops:blush:oops:.......You guys keep talking nice and we just may have to make this an annual event. I am in the process of clearing the creekbank so there could be wading and sun bathing next year. I promise not to wear a thong.
