i too have the milwaukee mag drill and find it an extremly usefull tool. a few things to remember when using them though is to always safety chain it up when not flat drilling. magnets like thick metal. the drill won't hold well on thin steel, so clamp a piece of heavy steel on and attach the...
well so far i have found that the body and frame don't match and there is an approx 50 cal bullet hole in the top corner of the windshield frame. had to have thrilled the driver. the bullet would have entered the cab right over the drivers head and exited in the corner between the outside two...
warchild, i'm here in central square (about 20 min north of syracuse) and have all the tools and equipment you could need. if you want to tackle that swap and would like some assistance you could bring it up and we could do it. time isn't important even if it took us a couple of weeks.
the other day my brother texted me a picture of a truck and said it would make a good little brother for the deuce. after calling about it i decided he was right. other than having to pull the top off to fit in the trailer and it being cold and snowy nat a bad recovery. about a 400 mile round...
i have a friend who is an "industrial coatings engineer" who orders a lot of SW paint. he always gets me great deals on paint so i thought i would ask if he could get CARC. he checked with two of his suppliers and got a price of $75 a gallon. his other supplier said he thought he could get it...
AMX, congrats you passed the test. asked a question and got poked with a stick a little. you didn't spaz out or run away so you got your answer. gotta love this place. reminds me of the military for some reason.
i have the 10 origional tires from my truck, one never touched the road, two are like new, 6 are at least 75% and one has about 3/8" tread left. i had origionally planned on puting my 395s on stock rims so i had 6 of the tires dismounted. the boss wants hemmett rims so now we have a change of...
i already posted them but thought i would join in. one stock colt one built from parts. even possible in the semi communist state of N.Y. i have a concealed carry permit and get stoped regularly (motorcycles) i have had three different cops ask me if my gun was loaded. my response is always "is...
when i purchased my bulldozer it was from a small township in Pa. their requirement was that the bid had to be posted for 30 days. they posted the notice on a bullitin board in a locked classroom in the town barn. a friends wife did the cleaning and noticed the notice and so i waited until 5 min...
not to rain on your parade but the cross braces in red in your one pic are a very good idea. breaking and bumps in a turn are going to try to push the hitch sideways. the flexing even if it doesn't fold will cause inertial bouncing which will want to break the rears loose or add enough pressure...
if you don't want to do the calc for a resistor and your installing two gages with the same lamps wire the lamps in series(thru one then thru the other) this will give both 12 volts with no danger. if one burns out the other will just go out but not burn up. to validate this I'm a union...
this is a post to show my progress on my deuce, today i installed my first upgrade. but first a little history.
i purchased my 1969 Keiser Deuce WO/W from GL at Ft Drum. i purchased it unseen but i have talked to the GL guy up there many times and he said he thought it was a decent truck...
it's called hydraulic splitting. its caused by the bolt hole being full of fluid ( oil, sealent etc) and the bolt being drawn down compressing the fluid.
he couldn't be from sandy pond. i have a friend from there and he say's only inbred rednecks live there. that was about 20 years ago though and maybe the area has gone down hill.:-P
well i got some new batteries and checked the fluids. was about 5 deg. took about 5 starting attempts but it rumbled to life. took about 3 min to pick up all the cylinders. i was impressed figured i would have to add some 911 and ether it. it hasn't ran in over a year according to the guy at...
here's some pics of her getting home. not many problems i didn't notice at first. it was -26 when i picked it up and the batteries were frozen solid. there is no brake pedal at all and the hood hinges are broken. transfer case switch is gone but thats the only thing missing from the inside...
