My 1954 M211 has what appears to be a Memphis Equipment new or rebuilt 302 motor. The motor has a Y oil fill tube on it and all the other 302 motors, that I have seen, have a single tube with a can on top.
Does anybody know why GMC used the Y oil fill pipe? John at Memphis said .

NO FEAR Jim! IF I were to "cobble" something together it would only be temporary until I could get the correct parts for it!
Right now my concern is to get SOMETHING on that carb (and air compressor) to act as a filter before some big dragonfly gets sucked in!

You have a nice truck, don't start the cobble crap. The 90 degree elbow from the carb also has a tap for the air copressor hose for the fording.

My in-tank pump took a dump too. I bought a 24V in-line pump from NAPA for 90 bucks and cut the fuel line above the tank and installed it. The fuel system is a loop system and I just ran the pump till the air bubbles in the tank slowed down and fired the truck up. There is a company that sells...
