If it makes you feel better i ran my m1008 to NJ from PA, bout an hr trip. and i was at 70 and it was screaming, i dont plan on that trip again until i get larger tires. You can put a 700R4 in there but you loose a lot of strength. The over drive is nice but when you start throwing lift kits...
Anyone swap rear disc brakes on the M1008/M1028? I saw ORD's rear disc brake kit. it was a good price and it uses chevy 3/4 ton front calipers and rotors. Just wondering if it was worth it.
IMO dont waste your time with a 203 unless its doubled with a 205, They are super heavy, huge, and a full time case, they sell part time kits for them. I have one that came of a Turbo 350, you can have it lol the only good thing is its a fixed yoke and not a slip yoke. at least on mine anyway.
Not to throw a wrench in the works (no pon inteded) but spline count makes a difference too, if my memory serves me correctly the Turbo 400 had a spline count of either 28 and or 32. Please correct me if i'm wrong. because i think i am, lolrofl
I've seen a HD 2wd Turbo 400. It sad HD right on top of the bell housing, me and a friend just put one in his 2wd Chevy step side. And maybe im a moron for saying this who knows but he said its a 2wd turbo 400 with a 208 attached to it, maybe its a divorced 208??? I dont know i guess i just...
Thanks for the info, As far as my truck goes everything was torn out. The IFS brackets were tourched off and the frame was plated. Those are 70-75 Aluminum Control arms for the 4 link. I had EMS offroad build the truck for me and they tapped and capped my stock steering box and ran hydro lines...

Thanks for the info, i bought the truck and the resistor wasnt on. How would i go about putting one on? Also will i need that or the card i fried to run the push button. heres a pic of the fried card.
I had a 1 ton before and i ordered the U bolts front and rear from national tire and wheel or desert rat. and they worked perfect. as far as spring plates go i just found some in a junk yard and FF 14 bolts are easy to come by.
