Yup I'm all too familiar with the changes...when they announced the 11' series with the 6.7L the first thing I did was grab the spec sheet for the 450 from a dealer in Missouri that frequents the diesel garage. I was disappointed, the sad thing is I did a F550 build and an F450 build the F550...
Nice, I want an 08' F450 at some point I may buy one...
Right now the F350 hauls the RV and fam just fine. When we upgrade I'm not sure where I'll go. We want a toy hauler but I may just build that myself. Then we'll just take two trucks camping and use group came to park the toys...LOL
So as I read this you are taking a bus and converting it it into a GN and living in the body until such time as you can jack the body off the frame onto piers of some sort.
Then your intent is to use the frame as a GN?
I'm going to agree with the others in that you will never get the Payload...
Hey that does work....awesome!
Once I went to 3 monitors I lost the ability to print screen, never knew the alt code. Thanks.
I now run 3 20.5" wide screens with dedicated 25" wide for video, with the screen management software I have I can have 9 word documents on screen at once and still...
Dexter Axles...love them, won't by a GN without them.
I wouldn't skimp on axles...kinda like a motor to a truck. The trailer is nothing without axles...
You could probably make M200 axles work.
Depending on the underwritter assigned your case, State Farm may cover it...
Move.. With that truck in CA you'll need deep pockets to keep it on the road. Nearly every state aside from those that will let it fall into RV will see it as commercial. Commercial registration needs commercial...
Couldn't find a weight....
The current Dragon's, UTE's, MB-2 whatever you call them we use for the BUFF is a beastly machine, and gets a lot of use...
Steely was right nothing with 8 engines is cheap to start or fly...
The only thing good on an MB-4 Eagle is a take out 6.2L and the ZF axles...
The rest is worthless IMO other than potential spare parts for a CUCV cab. I've used a butt load of MB-4's Coleman's, Eagle's, PSI's, Entwistle's, and Wollard's.
If you have an actual Aircraft to tow and need an MB-4...
I have to agree. Glen makes you feel like your are the most important thing on his agenda. I don't know if that's his nature or if he truly has nothing better to do some days. Either way its very refreshing and he has a pleasant demeanor.
On my trip by the time I got to Glen's I was beat...
Alright it's non mil, but I made it mil colored...LOL
FIL built this 6'x10' a few years back to fetch materials for a garage we built. He didn't want to constantly borrow the F350. Anyways I adopted the little Gem and use it fairly often. Only holds 3k lbs but it's low sturdy and pulls...
Quit rocking the boat!
You do know that you can file the paperwork directly and that GL is the middleman. The $60 is their fee...not the cost of the paperwork.
