That looks sweet :) Cutting it a little bit close with the clearances though.. ;) Are you going to mount a stop block in the floor to make sure that you don't accidentally back up too far?
I saw a military surplus "plugging" kit on eBay not too long ago.. Said it would work on 14r20's. As long as there is sufficient tread left on the tire, I don't think it should be a problem. Are you going to have a tire shop do it, or are you going to try to DIY?
No spare tire?
My guess is that the previous owner installed a tube in order to solve an issue with a tire that would not stop leaking. A few possibilities there.. First, is that they did not know that there is supposed to be an o-ring in there. Second, is that they knew that there needed to...
Ran the truck today. Ran my '66 Ford Fairlane at the same time.. What an awesome combination of smells and sounds.. Rumbling American diesel scent mixed with emissions-less American V8 that also rumbles ;) lol
Put 10 gallons of diesel in the truck after I was done running it. Kinda pissed...
While we are on the subject of tires.. Is it bad to have a little cracking in between the treads on these 14r20's? Nothing on the sidewalls, but some of mine do have some cracking in the "valleys" between the raised portions of tread.
:p Oh c'mon.. You might as well since it's out. If nothing else it's an extra layer of protection against corrosion. Just need a couple rattle cans of primer and engine paint and you're good to go [thumbzup]
Those are only about 2" smaller in diameter than the 14's, correct? I've heard that the 395's are more plentiful, so I may have to switch to those in the future when my tires eventually wear down (they're all about 90% right now, so I have a while.)
