M939 Series 5 ton as Daily Driver?

-Fully seal cab as tight as possible, and you might want to add more insulation -Add another heater, fuel fired would probably be best -Install a block heater, and maybe things line fuel line heaters, battery heaters, and fuel filter heaters That's a good start. Just make sure you start out...

M939 CTIS Reprogram, Anybody Done It?

While we're on the subject of disassembling CTIS components, has anyone taken apart a CTIS proportioning valve? I'm curious what it is that actually "fails" inside there..

    M925 a1 armored crew cab

I just went out (in the -2 degree weather.. lol) and took a look at my tractor. A V-shaped lower hull going from the base of the cab sides to the center of the truck is certainly possible, though it would take quite a bit of work. And you could only protect the back 2/3 of the cab, because of...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

It's a handgun, typically chambered in 45acp. I already have one, but it's expensive and rare now that they no longer make that particular version. As a result I shoot it very little. So I bought a cheaper, lower grade 1911 to use as my "beater" gun. I don't care if this one gets scratched up...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Ran my truck yesterday, and took it for a drive :driver: Supposed to get pretty cold again here so I wanted to take advantage of the "good" weather yesterday. I won't be doing much with my truck for a while. I just learned that the results of my MRI on Thursday were not good :( My doctor...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Started my truck up today, after about a week of really cold temps and snow. Started right up, in maybe 1 turn of the engine.. Didn't even have the block heater hooked up (it is a little warmer today, luckily.) Figured it was a good day to do it. Tomorrow is supposed to be decent again, but then...

Is there a screw in block heater for the 6CTA 8.3 or just the freeze plug type?

You can even use a long screw driver, which is what I did. Had a 2 foot long flat blade, which worked perfect :) It only took one decent tap to make mine pop.
