eh.. I get pretty good mileage in my A2 when I daily drive it. Helps if you don't have a lot of hills though.

I forgot to add.. UPGRADE HEADLIGHTS. The stock headlights suck pretty bad. LEDs are the way to go (you reminded me about that in another recent post.)

Yup. TruckLite LED headlights. Best mod that I have done so far.. They are REALLY freakin bright :) Easy to do, but very expensive because of the particular lights that I had to use.

Yeah they put up snow fences on certain roads here as well. Seems to help the major drifts from going out on to the road. Of course, I can't say for sure, as I try to avoid BEING on the road when it's snowing that bad :) (unless I am at work.)

Agreed. And getting twice the mileage per gallon makes the 8.3 a winner, especially when the price of fuel (inevitably) goes up again.

Pretty easy to tell if you have an 8.3 instead of a 250.. The 8.3 is smaller, and it has a turbo on the passengers side of the engine :) Also, if your truck has the tire inflation system, or 4 shackles on the front bumper, you know it's an A2 with the 8.3 engine.
