Yes they have the equipment to talk to the CTIS. But they probably *don't* have the Dana software that is actually significantly more useful than the IETM stuff. They can pull codes but since the Army doesn't want the grunts changing the pressure settings on the CTIS controller they don't have...
Can honestly say that's the weirdest collection of parts I have seen thus far. But according to the parts manual it did indeed exist. The A1R cab latch was introduced starting at serial number 100001. Coil over shocks were introduced at serial number 101906.
What's your serial number? It will...
The A1R and A1P2 trucks have the 260A alternator. FMTV's went from 100 straight to 260. I believe there may have been a kit for a 200A unit offered back in the A0/A1 days but I've never seen one. Production units were 100 and later 260.
Other A1R features include the high-pinion rear axle...
You do not have the air ride cab? You should..... I wouldn't think they ever produced a non air ride without coil spring shocks..... The coil springs were to support the armored cab upgrade and that's also when they deleted air ride.
Here's a PDF that goes over the different generations of WTEC. The "3" has a single digit display, while the "4" has a double-digit display. The "5" (which is not seen on FMTV's AFAIK) has a double digit display with a wrench icon between them...
Mine were completely disintegrated and only the single thick bushing had been replaced by the PO on my truck. Fortunately I scored some new old stock units and rebuilt my latch mount and was able to send two (one thick and one thin) as samples to the manufacturer that's fixing this situation for...
Item 11 is the nylon conical seat, and 12 is the steel conical washer to allow for alignment. 13 is the small flat washer. 3 and 8 are the BIG washers.
I'm running into a wall with these - I haven't found a way to contact BAE TVS yet. If anyone can help.....
Web searches indicate they closed up shop in Sealy, TX and auctioned the facility. So there may actually be no way forward if they manufactured these kits in house.
I haven't heard about...
It is not an A1R. That is the WTEC 3 transmission control and he stated it has the 100A alternator. The A1R would have the 260A alternator and the WTEC 4 transmission.
GENX - you have a late model A1...... A1R schematics are incorrect for your model..... you have something that's a hybrid of...
Yeah I've looked at those exact pages..... The SX150D operates at 12v. That replacement operates at 5v and I had thought that would make them not compatible but upon looking at the data sheet it appears the replacement will operate at nominal 5v but up a max of 12v so yeah I think this could...
Interesting. I've tried to contact BAE TVS and had no luck contacting any real persons. If anyone knows any actual people there please send me their contact info. Their contact form is ignored and their phone number says it's voicemail isn't setup and hangs up on you. Nice.
You installed a BRAND NEW MMDC? Or a "good" used one? I have not experienced what you describe. I would swap the air lines and see if the other gauge acts similarly to rule out some kind of supply pressure issue to the unit. If it stays with the same gauge after swapping the air lines front to...
