    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

Naw. All the one's I've used work just fine on Windows 10/11.

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

Yep that's probably exactly what happened. The whole "A1R" thing is really a civilian-side label that's only found on some of the S&S/BAE schematics - it was an internal designation to differentiate trucks built to be field upgraded to an armored cab..... To the Army they are all just A1's and...

The field service and parts manual would be a -24P

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

Sorta. Like I said there's about 25+ serial number ranges in the actual electronic TM's that narrow down the attributes of that specific truck. Having the battery disconnect box means it's a later A1. As far as I know the A1R's started around mid-late 2007 and went till the end of BAE...

    A0, A1, A1R and TM's

A0 technical manuals are public domain. Some A1 stuff is also, but much of it, and all the A1R stuff is not public domain and right around the same time the A1's came out the Army went almost entirely to digital manuals. Once they did that the paper versions basically went away and you just...

    Beginning the Journey

Even my 2008 came with 15w40 so that's almost certainly what it will have. The military doesn't swap out for different fluid. They always put in what they originally came with in my experience.

    Beginning the Journey

They sometimes get assembled incorrectly when soldiers remove them and reinstall them - not properly aligning the slip yoke splines. Even assembling them 180 degrees out so they *appear* to be aligned can result in them being out of balance. There's also some question as to the quality of the...

2 trucks or 4 trucks? A "SET" does one A0/A1 truck, and half of an A1R truck. There is not an option to purchase "pairs". Only sets of 4 bushings - 2 of each style. I'm not dealing with breaking up sets to make up pairs. There's 50 sets of 4 bushings being made.

    FMTV Brake drum fitment

Interesting. If the drum is not flush against the hub flange I would say that's a problem and if the studs are holding it up and it needs a matching bevel inside the drum stud holes I would clearance it till it sits flush against the hub flange.

CTIS wheel covers (CTIS Armor) - CAGE code?

Anyone that has the factory CTIS wheel covers that protect the CTIS valve and hose assemblies - can you tell me if the CAGE code stamped on them is 19207 or something else? I'm looking for any past manufacturers of NSN# 2540-01-489-5928 Unfortunately they are listed with CAGE code of 19207...

There are 50 trucks worth of bushings being manufactured. 100 thick, and 100 thin. That's 4 bushings for each truck (set). 1 set is 2 thick bushings, and 2 thin bushings. A0 and A1 require 1 set of 4 bushings. A1R has to purchase 2 sets of 4 bushings because it uses 7 out of the 8 due to...

Caiman MRAP wheels on a LMTV

Well..... that might be the case but I have no issues at 50-60 MPH with my wheels. On smooth pavement my truck is exceptionally smooth. :shrugs:

Caiman MRAP wheels on a LMTV

My steel rim 2008 vintage Goodyears rounded out nicely after daily driving for 6 months and I don't have any balancing issues. I think the subject of balancing is largely a case of these vehicles not being driven enough to have round tires. That's just my experience though. It took a LONG time -...

Caiman MRAP wheels on a LMTV

No "modification" required. You just call Hutchinson and buy the 4 special lug nuts for it. And you need the different lug nuts they require in general for all the rest. https://www.steelsoldiers.com/threads/aluminum-wheels.202004/page-2#post-2359521
