It is a small elbow pipe thread. It is whatever is the next smallest down from 1/8. Real odd size. I found a chart that lists it as 1/16. Other side is a standard nipple slip on I think 1/4 hard nylon tubing like air brake line.
Make sure it is the correct shovel and not a longer civy model?

Croft trailer can help with all the brake components. Surge unit is also a common civy item made by Toledo/Balcrank/ Hydro act ( changed names several times) . Do search as I have posted a civy diagram and civy part numbers that is also readily available on croft's website.
Louisiana is one. Law just passed last year. Fully implemented now. HMMWV and all mil trucks have a legal path to registration and title.
