What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

If you made the decals and they turn out well, you should consider selling them! :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Shock Recommendations

Sounds good! Thank you for double checking! I’ll likely just get the Pro Comp Shocks. I’ll just have to see about their Warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Shock Recommendations

I just visited 4 Wheel Parts. I was told they don’t have Bilstein for 6”. I’m going to see if I can find those 6” shocks elsewhere. They do have Pro Comp available for $60 each plus installation. I’m assuming those are subpar in comparison? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Shock Recommendations

It sounds like Bilstein is the most popular choice. So what type is ideal: gas, monotube, shock absorber, etc.? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Shock Recommendations

I’m going to replace the shocks for my CUCV M1009. It has a 6” inch lift, not sure if that matters. I want to see what you guys recommend? Brand, Type, etc. I looked on 4 Wheel Parts and got the phone book! I mostly drive on roads, but would like the option of something decent for any...

@ssdvc Here’s a picture of the New Corbeau Seats. I wanted something close to the original, but comfortable too. The color is a great match. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Carpet/Flooring Ideas

@ssdvc If I go with liner, Lizard Skin is what I’ll use. I would use two layers: the Sound Control and then the Ceramic Insulation. You are very correct about preparing things correctly. I’m curious what exact/how to remove components for for spraying. I’d like to switch out my front seats...

Here We Go Again Low Voltage M1009

It’s been starting normally the past two days. I’ll keep an eye on it and see how it starts after it’s sat a couple/few days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Here We Go Again Low Voltage M1009

Today I tested the Batteries with the Vehicle Off. They looked good, both were around 12.7 Volts. I also Tested for Parasitic Draw. The Multimeter was at 0.003. I think that’s good? The reading didn’t change when I pulled out every fuse. Then I re-connected the power to the Buss Bar in...

Here We Go Again Low Voltage M1009

Son of a Biscuit!!! I drove my M1009 Monday, it started fine. Then I started it yesterday (Thursday) and again today. Both times it was clicking and struggling to start. WTF? So maybe there’s a parasitic draw, which I will test for. Or could it be the starter or flywheel, etc. causing the...

    M1009 Carpet/Flooring Ideas

You dudes sure have a lot of good knowledge to share. Thank you! I haven’t wanted to spray bedliner into the cab because of the cancer causing agents, breathing in those fumes while in the cab over time, etc. I have found a water based liner called Lizard Skin. I’ll look into that more and...

Here We Go Again Low Voltage M1009

As you know, I installed the Additional Ground Cable last week. So far I’ve had zero issues with starting the vehicle. It is now starting how it should! This may very well have been what the issue was. It makes me wonder if there originally was a Ground Cable mounted on the frame and why did it...

    M1009 Carpet/Flooring Ideas

@Squibbly Hey Brother! You are such a handy guy! I decided not to spray bed liner in the cab and here is why (I had no idea about this): https://raybuck.com/bed-liner-inside-truck-cab/ I will likely still spray the exterior of the fiberglass shell though. It should be a great way to protect...

    M1009 Carpet/Flooring Ideas

@ssdvc I’m beginning to think just repainting the floors with primer and spray paint might be a simple and best route. The one good thing, I forgot to mention, is rain isn’t a real big issue. I’m in Southern California. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M1009 Carpet/Flooring Ideas

https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-91-chevy-gmc/csb-1973-91-blazer-jimmy-molded-carpet Instead of spraying bedliner, I’m thinking of installing carpet into my M1009. I’m curious: Did the M1009’s originally have carpet and what color was it? LMC has Black and Red Carpet Kits available. My front...

Here We Go Again Low Voltage M1009

@Squibbly awesome job buddy! Thank you for this video and the previous link to the other video. I will do the Parasidic Test soon. I’m just waiting on a Kill Switch to arrive for my Rear Buss Bars. I’m thinking of adding a Kill Switch to my Front Winch as well. Sent from my iPhone using...
