The front springs on the Deuce are made up of 12 leaves having a thickness of .445 inch. This spring set is configured with NO over-load set.
The spring pac on the M-105 trailer contains 11 leaves of .300 inch ... with 4 leaves of .300 inch as an over load set.
Combining leaves from both...
This thread has some interesting information:

I searched this thread for "DT 466" and came up other interesting stuff as well.

"Instant" oil pressure does possess some qualities over 2 to 3 seconds to oil pressure.
ANY length of time that a crank spins in a bearing with out oil pressure is WAY too much.
Although I fear you will take some heat from people having loyalties to other systems, THIS is a VERY interesting...
I guess all things are relative.
I got mine through Keystone Spring (on the web) and thought I got a pretty good deal.
$20.00 per each plus shipping.
The whole deal was under a hundred bucks.

I guess the sticker is a resident sort of thing ...
Do you know if they are pulling non-commercial, out-of-state trucks off the road and checking fuel?
I might be making a trip up north in June ... with fuel costs going up I was planning on using a "mix".

When I was making plans to bob my Deuce, using a M105 trailer, I found this site to be VERY informative ... and Mike is VERY helpful.

BTW ... the rear springs from a Deuce will help you build your bobber.
You can use leaves (the last 3 of them) from the Deuce rear spring set ... You...
In a way ... yes. Actually two ways.
In ANY engine: If the studs were removed ... all the prep work done (the head cut, the surfaces cleaned etc) ... and the holes for the studs weren't blown or cleaned out before the studs were replaced ... it IS possible that the studs didn't thread fully...
BTW ... THIS POST and its Pictures was the best piece of advice I got before slipping the bed onto the chassis.
This modification really snugs the bed up to the cab very nicely.
It really eliminates unsightly "gaposis".

I made brackets from the left over pieces of the M35a2 chassis. Cut them to fit between the stiffeners under the M105 bed.
I used eight 1/2 inch dia. Carriage head bolts through the bed into the bracket.
1/2 inch hardware secures the brackets to the Deuce frame, two per bracket.
All that...
Man ... there's a LOT of rivets in these things ain't there!
The pickle fork is a good idea.
I saw here someplace somebody suggested using an axe!
I did mine with a couple of big chisels and some splitting wedges.
Lookin' good ... keep at it.

A BIG plus one.
Its a good sign that engine is giving you 50 PSI oil pressure. That would indicate that the low end is OK.
Giving full credit to your gas engine experience ... I think your instincts are correct when you think you got ONE cylinder on the bum.
The sequence of events would...
Just comparing notes with another bobber. I didn't even post a picture.
Happens all the time here ... what's the big deal?
I checked the rules ...nothing there.
Common courtesy? ...
Like I said ... it happens all the time here ... what's the big deal?
Just because its me?

I'm still out in front ...
The diff is installed ... shes settin' on her new springs ... the u-bolts got tightened down yesterday ...
This AM I cut off the end of the chassis ... and am bolting the tailboard (?) back on as soon as I get a bite of lunch.
As they say ...
"IT WON'T BE LONG NOW"...
Hey bud! Welcome aboard.
Did you do a search of both this thread ... and down in the paint and bodywork section:
Paint and Bodywork - Steel Soldiers::Military Vehicles Supersite
If memory serves me correctly I've seen something about some military paint turning pink someplace ... I just...
