Kurt is just showing us how the 2 ea 120 volt legs combine to create a 208 volt circuit for your 240 volt appliances. Chris explained the Sine of the phase angles are what give us the 208 volts instead of our single phase 240 volts. 3 phase has 3 each 120 volt legs, phase angle as shown in the...
See Post #1, Attachment #2. A couple hours at 80 to 100% load. My suggestion to cook a pizza or cookies each time you are there on an electric stove is a valid plan to keep your machine clean.
Buy a used electric stove for your off grid compound. They make a nice load bank for these generators. Cooking a pizza or baking some cookies each time you are there will help clean up any wet stacking in your generator.
When I think vacation, somehow Chengdu China never comes up. Europe, South America, visited SW Africa one time, but never central China. I believe I would suffer cultural shock for the first couple weeks of such a trip. But I do like Americanized Chinese food!![thumbzup]
Good info on gauge calibration to get them close: https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?171920-MEP-Meter-Calibration
As everyone has stated, a decent clamp meter and multi-meter are needed to accurately understand the amps and volts your generator is producing.
TM 9-2330-202-14&P, p144/415 located here: http://www.jatonkam35s.com/jatonkaM105TrailerTMdownloadpage.htm shows adjustment procedure.
Drawing for the brake handle for a M416 is here: https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDetails/5767/TR-226-Trailer-Brake-Handle .
They look very similar.
Hey, you can't argue with your success with the paper filter and what you've done has worked for years. Thanks for the good info from the factory, too. But they confused me: a filter is wet with fuel....then gets a little wet with water....then the fuel pushes the water through and the paper...
TMs here https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?148871-All-the-manuals-for-the-MEP-802-5KW-Generator-and-MEP-803-10KW-Generator
An installed ground rod is a good thing to have when playing with these generators.
Ha!! Kloppk you beat me to the TMs!!!
Guy: What TM are you looking in to find your info? Especially the
"CXCY
PART NAME ASSIGNED BY CONTROLLING AGENCY
30 OHM FUEL LEVEL GAUGE".
The only place I was able to find the ohm resistance values was at Eriksmilitarysurplus and that after Diesel's hint to look for 30 ohms
From ARMY TM 9-6115-639-23P I look for both sender and gauge: both will need the same ohm readings, so a find on either will give you good info.

I believe, Sir, you are correct. 33972 is diesel and gas. Note at the end of the fleet filter page says.... Principle Application: Plastic Universal In-line fuel filter w/ 5/16" lines - can be used w/ gasoline or diesel fuel (33002 only to be used...
I think you need a different kind of fuel filter for the watermelon storage facility. One of those special water separator / filters. And a real good sugar filter.....
TMs are available here: http://www.jatonkam35s.com/jatonkaM105TrailerTMdownloadpage.htm Should have some useful info....

Another option is an M1101/M1102. I picked my 802 up with my M1101 and there it sat until I was able to score a proper LTT-HC generator trailer. The M1101 was a wee bit tight when opening the doors because I didn't think to put dunnage under it (just had a 1/4" rubber mat), but the doors did...
You mention smoke and dry carbon spitting out at 105%: this sounds like some wet stacking. Have you run it at say.....75% for an hour or two?
Search the forum for wet stacking and you'll get details on it. However, if that machine is not new to you and you've run it at 100% before for an...
I need a spare HMMWV tire for a camper project and decided to change out the wheels on another trailer. Most posts on SS recommend a GM wheel from 1988 - 2009 off of a 4WD truck. No 4WDs available at this moment here but I did find wheels off of a 2000 GMC 1 ton van. Tires are LT245/75R16...
