There are cheap aluminum spacers and good ones. The ones I bought are the good ones. I have had zero problems with the ones I bought off a vender over at pirate4x4

Mine were free they sampled them for me. I would say they should be under 5 dollars.

I would buy the parts and try it yourself. It's really not hard and worth a try. We have long winters and it gets pretty boring here. If you want to send it to me I can try but it may not work.
