For noise I would start by removing the little chain that holds the oil fill and the D rings on the skid. There are a few unnecessary things that make noise. I also removed my mesh shield by the rad overflow. It was flipping a bit.

Me and you both. Pull a 3in dip stick on any engine while it's running and your going to get some splashing. Even my 200hr 802 will splash oil. Put the stick back in.

Black smoke is usualy to much fuel if it's not wet stacked. If it only blows smoke right at start up you should have an injector that is stuck open a bit or needs to be adjusted.

My vote is for the injection pumps not clocked right or the fuel rack jammed up.

Since you want to power so many different things why not just get an external rated breaker box and run short or long pigtails that you can put what every plug, breaker and wire combo you want on. Hard wire the generator to its breaker pannel and keep a ground rod with it.

Injection pumps bolts found loose, black smoke when running and wont shut off right away...you have to much fuel because someone clocked the injection pumps wrong. I cant remember how to find tune them but I'm sure the TM will tell you. Its a simple adjustment and nothing to worry about.

Light how did you store the fuel prior to putting it in the generator? I have read that algee grows in presence of moisture. It can be as small as condensation forming on the inside of a half filled fuel jug..or a half filled generator fuel tank.

It dosnt really matter if theres a common oil leak area because you would still need to clean it and run the engine to see where your specific engine is leaking. I believe ebay has a whole gasket kit for less than $200...

Are you trying to turn it over with the injectors in or out?

Time to pull the engine appart to further for investigation. You cant make a decision yet because you dont know how bad the other piston and crank is. I would expect the crank to need some machining at the very minimum.
