    Redi Sleeve Shifter Shafts

I would try to find new shift rails as I don't believe this is a good application for a speedi sleeve. I got a pair from AB Linn for less than $10. Don't know if he has any left, but worth a try. Other options would be plating and grinding your shafts or making new ones. M Series has new...

Large Engine transplant for M37 ?

There is a guy in Colorado that has a 500 cubic inch Cadillac engine in his M37. Can't remember his name though, but I think his first name is Keith. Frank

    Etw1 & engine tuning

Check the carburetor base gasket to make sure the vacuum port isn't restricted and also the crankcase ventilation valve for proper function. I just had the same issues with a M601. Turned out the problem was low vacuum at the carb. Homemade gasket restricted the port in the carb base and...

    M37 Delivery Date

You could check the registry on the G741.org site for serial numbers near yours. My truck, serial ending in 51113 was delivered 4/27/53. Frank

    Canvas and paint

You could have New Life make you a custom cargo cover. Take 6" off the side stakes to lower the height of the cargo cover and make it the same height as the cab cover. I saw a truck in Nebraska that did this and it looked good, instead of the raised step up for the cargo cover the top was...

    Power steering in my M-37...

There is a discussion on this on the Power Wagon forum. Check out the reply by Paul in NY, he has researched this well. Basically the steering is super sensitive with the big steering wheel and now a power assist. Pressure from the pump needs to be lowered/restricted to reduce the sensitivity...

    Repower Radiator Options

You could have the radiator re cored with a thicker core and retain the upper and lower tanks. I have done this on two repowered trucks. Frank

    Canvas Top

Not that difficult. I bought a new cab cover from New Life Resource and had no trouble installing it myself. I had never put one on before and it proved to be fairly easy. Stand in the cab, throw the top over the winshield, thread the front of the top into the retainer on the windshield, pull...

    Speedo Cable-non standard engine/transmission

What transfer case are you using? The original speedometer cable attaches to the transfer case, not the transmission. If you are using the NP200 transfer case and it is in the stock location, the stock cable should work. Frank

As stated above, check to see if there is spark to the plugs. Pull a sparkplug and ground it to the block and check for spark. Frank
