Since I got my LMTV I've wanted the proper spare tire restraint net. I'd wanted to make one, but I could never find good information about it online. On a certain popular auction site I've seen things for sale as FMTV/LMTV tire straps which are very much not the right thing. Well as luck would...
Thanks to everyone who pitched in advice. I picked up the trailer yesterday with my LMTV at the Lakewood yard as advertised. Justin was awesome and everything was super quick and easy. I didn't mess with the air because I have heard about the relay valves sticking and causing problems.
Biggest...
So on my LMTV if the lighting is all off (I have the digital keypad even though it is an A0) my Allison panel is bright and readable. If I turn on any of the lights, including just the stoplight configuration, the Allison dims out what I presume is "night" mode. This is not the end of the world...
I'm sympathetic to JBLM's need for security, and, I am really glad that GP has a yard, I just wish they hadn't steered me wrong. I mean they had one job, right.
In any event now to just worry about getting it home, I plan to go out there on Friday.
Big thanks to rhurey, he saved me a HUGE headache -
So my release paperwork said call iron planet central - so I call them and ask her point black, where is the trailer, on base or the yard, and they tell me it's in JBLM. rhurey was pretty insistent from the pictures that it was in the...
So of course I called eventually and they are saying it is on base. The woman said to show up at the Logistics gate - they didn't mention the passport requirement but thanks for the heads up - and claim I need to pick something up.
Do the base guys have cares to give about safety - like if I...
My neighbor's son decided he wanted to go to his Sr. Prom in the LMTV. Who was I to say no?

Another Ahab - based on my experience with the tents the shoe goo will hold. It holds your shoes together doesn't it... ha ha. Look at it this way, nothing to lose by trying. It's really strong though, if applied to specification and you get a good strip down as wide as those seams are. Remember...
The bows on my LMTV are the same way, solid. I think those are the steel ones (pretty sure). Then later they had the Aluminum kit. Most likely the latter has the little knobby latches like the tents do. I basically tried and failed to do the install myself w/o a helper. Even with a person...
I actually have a Juki and can sew them but do what I do instead, shoe goo. This is actually the authorized repair technique for Base-X tents (and probably other tents), which is made out of the same material. You can patch this way also. It works perfectly fine and I have not had any failures...
I won the M103A3 at JBLM this afternoon.

I plan to use it for the base of an antenna mast trailer...
Just like the title says. Did 854 miles this weekend with some friends. No trouble with the truck at all. We took the scenic route out from the Seattle area over HWY-20 over Rainy Pass and then out east past Colville. Camped two nights in different spots. We visited the Crawford State Park and...
