To add to what emmado22 wrote some trucks belonged to units that were never intended to deploy overseas and which were not part of a larger deployable chain of command but which still needed trucks Those trucks were generally not repainted. Nowadays they'd have a straight-up civilian truck and...
The rear of an M561 is NOT a trailer. It is a permanent part of the vehicle an it is called a "carrier" If an LEO thinks otherwise invite him to disconnect it...
Yes, you can tow with it. Backing up a trailer behind an M561 is truly a difficult thing so always stop and park where you can...

One thing that may not have been mentioned is parts and service. I'd advise buying something for which you can get the normal wear parts and consumables for locally (if there are any local sources). If at all possible, try one out before making a choice. Most medium sized and larger cities...

When I first joined the Army (1976) Fort Carson was my CONUS station of choice so, of course, in 29 years I never got anywhere near it.

At any rate, the column was damaged as was the turn signal stalk. Ed found a good used take-out.
Thanks...

Instead of doing it the correct way by pulling the steering wheel and drilling it out they broke the lock mechanism out of the column.
There's a hole in the...

My two favorites are the famous markings on the Claymore mine: "FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY"
