2010 Edmond, OK 4th of July Parade

Well I can make it, question is; would it be better to bring my bobbed truck (it's gray, not green) or see if I can borrow a green truck from M1075?

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

I did my plate for "show" purposes, the REAL data plate stays inside my dash box. If I ever were to be questioned by authorities about my truck, I will show the REAL data plate. As far as my state is concerned my truck is an M35A2 and those specs are all that mater. Just because I modified the...

Bob deuce data plate--need count on truck numbers

The base artwork DKELONE is using is a plate I made for one of my bobbed trucks (when I uploaded it to the steelsoldiers I gave permission for anyone to use it as they liked). I started with the XM381 spec sheet, did very precise calculations.... then made up the numbers! My personal truck...

    Fixing Multi-Fuel "Bugs"

Cleaned the carbon off the top edged of the liners and there is no ridge at all, I'd say it's a pretty low hour engine. I suspect the nests were from a single season and happend before the engine was sealed up, the intake was taped shut when I recieved it. Tell me more about the "Green Tag"...

    Fixing Multi-Fuel "Bugs"

So I picked up a used engine for an old GSA Deuce with a tired motor that I'm bringing back to life. One of the Steel Soldiers members was kind enough to find one and deliver it to me. The motor was delivered strapped down on a trailer, sitting on some old tires. On the last turn into my...

    M105A2 Brake help needed.

First off, I'm no expert... I just built a trailer using a deuce bed mounted on an extended M105 frame (two frames spliced together). I have the same brake system as you do. If you open the drain valve on the reservoir tank and let the air out, the brakes will release.

White 465 Motors At Work On The Farm

So, I see spin-on oil filters.... Did the tractor come that way or is it an adapter? If it's an adaptor, where did it come from?

    Electric Fan on Deuce

The reason the Deuce (or just about any vehicle) heats up at highway speed when you don't run a fan of some sort, is because air hits the front axle and other low hanging parts and builds a little bit of pressure in the engine compartment. That makes the air pressure on the front side of the...

Under the hood is "as delivered" from the military... and not too exciting!

    before I install this transfer-case...

Well you might be in luck if it is the front shaft! You can pull the front shaft without pulling the transfer case, I did it to put new sprags in mine. It's quick and easy too.

    before I install this transfer-case...

Bummer on the transfer case! I asume you are sure it's the transfer case making the noise. Does it make the noise in both high and low range? I rebuilt my sprag case a little while back because the bearings on the input shaft that the low range gear run on bit the dust. The input shaft is...

    How To: Hub Flip

With the stock hub postion, the width measured on the flat part of the hub flange (where the wheel rim mounts) from one side to the other is 69.5" When you flip the hubs that measurment goes to 79.5"... so it adds 5" per side, 10" total.

    need clarification (more bobbing questions)

I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean by "mounting the leafs outside the frame rails for a more "stock" look ". If you look at the bogies on a stock 6x6 the springs are "under" the frame rails, not outside. (OK, after looking at one this is not correct, the springs are outside of...
