Looking for correct size fitting to snap onto the fan clutch Q/D so I can line up to access the bolts. I have a compressor to put air in but none of my fittings will snap on.
Any suggestions?
On a 6.5 NA, non remote reservoir pump. Has anyone been able to source a pump local? Looking at pumps and seeing alot that are very very close but not exact part number.
Took my belt off and ran it for a few seconds to verify it is my alternator that is loud and it is...
Check out each pulley and the passenger side top idler is tight and will be replaced. The water pump pulley does not wobble by hand, but if I put a pry bar behind it I can move it without...
My generator was in the back of the bed for unknown years...in the rain and all. It is definitely noisy and possibly putting extra strain on the belt too. Those generators may be the issue. I wont know until I get a new one though.
Starting to get to know my new MV. Have replaced the fluids and have gotten the engine back together. Bought it with no alternator or PS pump on it and as a non-runner.
Installed a pump and alternator and it cranks and drives ok. The alternator is loud, assume its bearings are about...
Finally got the interior back together with newly stitched seats, finished pyro Install, 24 to 12vdc converter, two small fuse blocks, one in battery compartment and one under dash, and the pump is turned way up and now time to start working it back down to keep from blowing a gasket.
Newly recovered M1097A2...going through the motions of swapping fluids and filters. Bought as non-running hmmwv, alternator and PS pump are off if it. I put some batteries in it and it fired right up with just a few seconds of erratic oil pressure bouncing and then leveled right off. I did not...
And dont waste your money on that crap from TMG CTIS kit. Dont need it. take ctis stuff off rims, use RTV to plug holes up front and take one of the rear valves to your local hardware and get a plug for rear hubs. I had thought it was 3/4 boss but that was not what mine was....and unplug box on...
Roughed in the pyrometer and pulled out all of the seat cushions to get re-covered. Bought some cordura nylon in OD off Amazon. 3 yards for $45. And it is the real stuff. I was able to do the bench seat back and letting local stitch guy do the other three.
Well, I want to thank everyone that gave so much advice on my issues. After replacing the lift pump, I turned the fuel up, adjusted top fuel screw and starwheel. It now has balls everytime I hit the accelerator from idle....I consider problem solved. Tomorrow I install a pyro gauge.
