I do not have an EGT, I need to get one. you mentioned in an earlier post the main fuel adjustment. You are talking about the one on the very end of the pump facing the cab? I did turn the one under the cap on top of the pump...just some.
Driving today, problem still there, great until I have...
This is on my what was once a "parts deuce" that ended up being too good to part out. During my post road trip checks, I found this. Warped pulley or bearings in compressor? Makes air just fine and I dont think any noises...well that I can hear.
Nothing. I have more checks to do but we do drive it maybe every other day when it cools off outside and it seems to be doing better....
Will post more checks when I can do them.
I will definitely give it a shot, the one I rode in pulling M198's around back in the day definitely did not shift like this...loaded or not. But I dont know if it was an A1 or A2...didn't care to know back then.
Fully serviced it when I got it about 8 months ago. Put in dex III.
Fully serviced it when I got it about 8 months ago. It had dex in it (was brown but smelled like atf) so that's what I put back in it. It does act about the same hot or cold.
There seems to be alot of posts on the Allison shifting hard on downshifts. But not finding much on hard upshifts. The shift from 1-2 is pretty hard....shakes the seats and may be normal but I am looking for a way to make it a little easier. A shift that hard cant be good for the joints.
Update on low/no power when leaving from idle....as I had said, the aneroid and fuel screw mostly fixed it however now it seems "sometimes"...maybe half the time when leaving from idle it has no power...then other half of time if gets rolling raly good.
I think it is a boost issue....aneroid...
Got my side tanks re-installed. I used Mr. Gasket 1/8" cork gasket. One roll is juuuust enough to do both sides with no seams at all. Also installed a new thermostat and a shutterstat.
I have brought all kinds of different situations to my DMV....as long as it has proof of past ownership (sf97, or past registration from an individual) and a bill of sale... there has been no troubles. One thing they are 100% picky about is there being two witness signatures on the bill of sale...
