2010 Fall Rausch Creek MV Rally!!!

Hey, if you bring the money, I'll bring the truck! What do you want? Single or dual tires, winch or no winch, hard top or soft top, M35A2 or M35A2C? Lance

    Jim Henry Surplus - NC

He's a god guy but it's kind of scary that he's running for sheriff right now. I kind of have images of Boss Hog.... Lance

TOW missle system for M151 MUTT

I, too, do not have pics but if you put the set in you will loose the front passenger seat because that is where the ammo rack goes. The two seats in the rear for the gunner and assistant gunner are suicide seats in the event of a roll over or frontal accident. The gun trucks and ammo trucks...

    neighbor problems

The reasonable compromise is to ignore them. If the subject comes up again, tell them to mind their own business. If they wanted to be able to decide what is appropriate on your property, they should have bought it. I know some folks won't agree with the attitude but if the neighbors don't...

    clutch

Ozzy, to do this "right" you'll either need to buy or inspect and measure the following parts. The throwout bearing, pilot bushing, pressure plate and friction disk. Since you have to drop the tranny, if the budget can handle the strain and you're going to keep the truck, there is a lot to be...

Geez....from the People's Republic and a Red Leg! Boy...I dunno.... Welcome aboard. What MOS? Which guns? 155 SP? Lance

    where's my drive shaft?

Jeff, I have a good take out front shaft from a truck I parted out. Shoot me a PM with your address and I'll let you know what ot costs with the shipping. I also have a good rear shaft that needs a u-joint replaced but is not bent etc. Lance

New dumpster find, but what to do?

Umm...I'll bite. Why is this in the Deuce forum? Lance

    Brake issue

With a hydraulic jack you should be able to get the axle height to where the wheel will just about slide sideways onto the studs. It is easier with two people. What I do when working by myself is get the studs a tiny bit LOW and tip the wheel in so that I can finger turn a nut (stud) or two...

    Brake issue

The info you need is in the -20 manual. If it's going nearly to the floor it is unlikely a "minor" adjustment will help. I suggest you do the "major" adjustment. Of course, when you take the inspection covers off you may find paper thin brake linings. I wouldn't drive this a foot down the...

does the x realy mean anything important?

What Lifer said. Yes there are sometimes changes. Usually they are very minor. Maybe a different toolbox door, a change in the routing of wiring, moving a switch or gauge etc. Rarely they major as that would have caused a model number change A few pieces of equipment are made in such low...

A few questions about speed and gearing

I'll answer your first question and leave the rest to others. This is going to read a little like a sermon but please understand that it is not meant that way. It's just an attempt to air out "the rest of the story" The reason your deuce goes the speed it does is because it was designed that...

    TM Section - Input Wanted

Hello, Mike The DOD Army (maybe the whole DOD?) refers to the grouping of the available publications for a vehicle as the list of available publications, abbreviated as the "LOAP". Typically it is a dynamic listing that includes the latests TMs, applicable FMs, MWOs, hand receipt manuals etc...

    2 Passenger Bench Seat?

I'm unfamiliar with the M35A3 series and can't speak to Air force policy but the official policy of the Army is that the cab width is too narrow for three occupants. They are thinking of the crowding of the driver with a standard transmission to operate and are concerned about the middle...

    Is this military???? 2.5kw

I'm not sure but from the pic it looks like a AEH 6HP or similar. With the color etc I do believe it's GI. The civvy ones tended to have a hand crank for starting so the front end of the crankshaft had a cylindrical shape with a pair of pins sticking out to engage the crank. I don't know...

Fuel not getting to the engine

Do I remember correctly that there is a fuel filter built into the IP? If son, has anyone ever had an issue with it? Lance

    Broken Down Twice Today

The troubleshooting Guide in the -20 lists all the actions to check starting with the most common problems first. Don't start spending $ and time in a hit or miss attempt to rewrite the TM. The DOD had well over 50,000 of these things and has a pretty good idea how to keep them running...

Fuel not getting to the engine

It is worth noting that any original rubber part on these trucks is about 40 years old. Changing the rubber fuel lines as soon as you get the truck is the same kind of preventative maintenance as changing the vacuum lines on a CUCV. Cheap and it saves a lot of cursing and head scratching. Lance
