Yeah but an M818 has a smaller turning radius than an M813A1 W/W. Weren't you the guy hung up for a while with a tree inside the front bumper?
That said, are you the RC participant who was going to Penn Tech.? Our youngest child, AKA the #5 son, had his first day of classes today and he's one...
A Google search for "Seabee stencil" Popped up these brass ones from the Seabee Museum.

I knew they were around because a good friend (a retired Bee Master Chief) used them on one of his deuces.
I think I remember seeing an oilboard set at Aberdeen this year.

I second the thought that the rod is likely from having a ring mount. Check the inside of the sleeve at the front of the passenger side door and the channels and bolt holes on the back of the cab for wear.
If the triangle were a armor insignia I'd expect it to be a equilateral triangle...
My concern with the M813A1 is the turning radius. I guess that if we still have permission to whack a few (dozen) trees I could bring an adult size chainsaw and get rid of a few trees but the experience of the last few years with 5 ton cargo and tractor trucks makes me fear for the body work a...
They sure did. The CUCVs shared that engine with the early humdingers and they were in the AOAP, too.The sampling port was an otional add on since the AOAP came along long after the CUCVs came into the system. It was mostly ignored by humdinger equipped units that only used CUCVs as plow and...
Hmm...I'll put it on the calender and hope I'm caught up enough on work to wriggle free.
I suspect I'll bring one of the deuces, I think you maniacs would lead me down some trails that would get the M813A1 dinged up.
Of course that's the first week of deer archery season here and there's a...
Congrats. Randy
Although I never saw one mounted there, I think the floor brackets are for an M8 chemical agent alarm.
Would I be right in guessing that the SGM you were talking to was Ed Miller?

Thanks, Guys
I read that thread but missed the part about the "green" screw. Is it safe to assume that the packing on the screwdriver is to keep fuel from running out?

Hello, All
My M813A1 idles at 600 RPM and I know that's the lower edge of the intended 600-650 RPM range. It rattles and shakes from the harmonics but smooths right out at around 660-670 RPM so I want to adjust it up.
I've looked in the -20 and searched the "5 ton and up" forum with "idle...
As written above, check the pins/bolts in the linkage first. If all you seem to be feeling is the pedal return spring you might get lucky.
Then pull the inspection plate off the bottom of the tranny. Check the fingers of the pressure plate. If any of them are flopping around as opposed to...
DH-that's a definite possibility. As I mentioned when you and I talked, I may just put a silly price tag on it and see what happens.
I believe there's a guy in western NY buying trucks for farms there and he has paid top dollar for some but he also had buyers waiting. You know what I paid for...
Hey, Gang
I have an M813A1 with 11K miles on it. It's got very little corrosion, a winch with good cable, hard top, two solargizers, racks and fair to very good (some new) rubber.
The truck seems to have had a complete annual service just before it hit DRMO. The only thing I've found...
If you are using quart bottles, buy 5 cases. If you have a winch and do the winch housings too, you'll have a few quarts left over, no winch and you'll have 6-7 bottles left.
Maddawg308 had the quantities right. The only thing he didn't cover was the winch gear case and end housing. From...
