What the heck is the part number for this? Specially for the v-belt. I'm at a loss and my only guess would be 9N-3345? It one of the last few parts I'm searching for, and is the protecht required?
It is. Looked like 16ga steel sheets. The owner wants it to rust up a bit and then will treat and preserve the surface. If you look closely you will see the sheets are cut up to look like mountains. The box was made from 1x2 steel tubing. Had foam sheet insulation. And the siding had at ti...
The shims set the gear lash from one of the hub gears to the 4 spider like gears. There is the PM way to do it, and then there is Steve 6x6x6 way to do it. Both ways need special type tools. Proper set up is key to long lasting and quiet hubs. The spindle nut is only 20 ft/lb of torque. 400...
Less than a truck load. ltl, or hotshot is commonly lighter loads often dually pickups towing large trailers grossing around 33k. Often the scraps larger trucks wont deal with.
Well I know my rubber lines filled up with oil when the seal failed, my frame is well lubercated where the ctis vents. I would cap the lines to prevent losing oil out of them. Personally I would like to get the higher pressure ctis controller if I could find one that didn't cost so much.
Talk to the shipper, and ensure they know the condition of the truck. Mine didn't run, they still showed up with the wrong trailer type, gp rep got it moving and on the trailer, had issues getting it off the trailer as it still didn't run and brakes were not caged. Was a bit of a hassle, but...
I am in, and probably the wife as well, hope to show up in my M1078, she just needs a bit of work to get her back up fmc. Brad is a wealth of knowledge, and helped me find some parts.
Here is a photo for reference of that seal not installed, the only seals my hub had that were retained were the ctis seals into the hub, I hope I'm not missing parts lol.. I want to say I used either red amsoil or the hd Lucas equipment blue green grease on my inner bearing. Easy enough to...
I do believe the grease seal on very inboard side should have been installed into the hub and not stuck to the spindle. Mainly to prevent damage while installing the hub. But if it works, it works. Good job on your repair!!!
Well here's the deal. I'm going to do the center section swap when the weather gets better. With the front end on jack stands and drive shaft disconnected wheels and drums off. I will pop the cover off one side and put the cutout cover back on. And tape a degreed circle to the drive shaft...
Perfect use for the old cap. I imagine without the trust washer, the hub must have been making some noise, with the gear lash being so out on one end. Nice looking combat rims, are you not going to run the ctis?
