Yep I can run it up on a manure pile I have lol. It's slick as s.... it may be a while before I can get it off kilter. I'll know soon about locker clunk if there is any.
Took a bit longer because the hubs had to come off, and as I was pressed for time working between rain showers I didn't document like I would have liked. I only installed a locker in the rear, but high speed gears all around. Got the tires on today and moved it but still need to double check...
Tow quads in high ground clearance trailer. When you lose the departure angles it's no longer an off road rig, and don't really need a 6x6 at that point. Also in the trailer you can carry extra fuel, water and gen. Then you have a scalable expedition rig with longer range, and extended stay...
It's awd, there is a diff in the transfer case, and with the front shaft removed all the power is shifted to the spinning yoke to the front. In mode it locks the center diff and splits power 50/50 front and rear letting you move.
The bearing caps should be spot welded to the retaining plates. Inside the caps in the end there is a plastic grease channel plate. Maybe you had seized them, spinning the cups free melting the plastic and in time the seize freed? I'd pop it out and inspect it.

test conditions, one tire on the ground to ensure the one wheel...
No rain project update. Today I got the rear carrier removed and replaced with the high speed carrier and gears. Hardest part was getting the drive shafts back in. Was not easy to get it all lined up, had to loosen the bolts a touch and jostle the carrier, swear a bunch, second guess myself...
I can't figure it out? Went through the PS magazine that list tires and wheels for most vehicles and it wasn't on there. Searched the nsn, and a end use came up as M1083A1P2 but others said it's not for them. When I get back to the office I will search fedlog and see what pops up.
Or tap and plug the the current hole. The drill and tap from the face side into the passage. Then use the old banjo setup and some stainless tubing and some jic fittings. I think it could work.
