I'm no expert but I don't believe that the CTIS bleeds extra pressure in the cab; at least mine doesn't. What max pressure are you showing on your gauges?
Yeah the right rear corner needs trimmed and the corner closed in with the trimmed piece and some acetone. ( Thanks Carrie!) It's a simple task. The corner is cut off to avoid hitting the passenger defroster flex duct. I can take more pictures and explain in more detail if needed.
Sure. It goes in with a little modification to one side, but actually easy.
Just look on a popular auction site for " marine locking glove box drink holder "
I installed 4 extra support rods to my roof to stop the drooping and help with not trapping water on the wet days. It looks much better too.
I also installed a glovebox/cup holder which I put in all of my trucks. It's very handy and convenient.
Well I made an interesting discovery this evening. While looking at the white plunger thingy I decided to flip the upper rubber cupped gasket over so that it pointed up instead of down. It seemed to me like it would seal much better. And it worked! Not even a hint of a leak so far. Maybe it was...
I'll have to try that next. A test drive proved that changing the air filter helped but it still shows a slight restriction. About half of what it used to be on the indicator.
Well I took it apart a couple of days ago, cleaned it and lubed the o-ring. All looked good until this evening when it commenced to start leaking again. Does anyone know what size and where to get that sub miniature, tiny o-ring without it costing me $10 for shipping? I'm ready to screw a 10-32...
I haven't driven it since but I will know immediately if it helped by watching the indicator. It always showed a restriction before and I knew it was a clean filter.
I modified my air cleaner housing to use a smaller diameter filter in hopes of getting better airflow to my engine. The air cleaner indicator in the cab always shows a restriction after a drive so I know that it's not getting enough air. I used a Baldwin RS3548. And my dog Riley gave me the seal...
I just changed out my air dryer with a brand new one from Suprman but I plan to take that assembly apart tomorrow just in case a piece of crud is in there. Thanks everyone for your help.
It lives right under the dash on the passenger side. Is this some sort of filter/water trap? It has 1/8 NPT male threads on the bottom with a hole in it. And it's leaking a noticeable amount of air on my truck. Not enough to affect pressure when running, but I hear it easily after shutdown and...
