I'm about to install a bypass coolant filter on my 923A2. I will be using a Wix 24071 filter with 4 units of DCA. Can I use this filter with standard " Green " antifreeze or should I swap over to the " Red " Fleetguard?
Hiss air out where? Is the CTIS wheel valve still hooked up to the valve stem? If so, then you're inflating through the other side of the turret valve? The cannon plug being disconnected in the cab has nothing to do with your tire loosing air. I'd start with putting a jack under the axle and...
Coffey1 and I finished the install of my Warn winch. We also broke down a 14:00 R20 to fix a leaking turret valve. It went unexpectedly well coming apart and back together. And my spare has the same problem so it will be a future tear down also. Finally got my cargo cover on also.
Mine and...
Anyone know the part number for that little o-ring under the wheel valves? I looked through the TM's but I'm still not sure if I have the correct one. I'm thinking it is 1/8 thick X 3/8 I.D.
Just replaced the same gasket on my A2 yesterday. It had a chunk blown out of the rear and wouldn't build pressure. is this a common issue on just A2's?
Coffey1 and I replaced the blowed gasket on my 923A2 compressor that had brought my Dayton recovery to a halt. We finished the trip with the new truck in tow.
It was a bit tricky with the unit still in place, but she works great now.
As far as CTIS pressures, I checked my newly acquired, 2012 rebuild, 923A2 tonight. The placard/nameplate in the cab says 55 psi for highway pressure. I checked it with a gauge and, sure enough, after going from Cross Country to Highway, it read 55.
Thanks for the pictures Butch. It was a trip I'll never forget even though at times, I thought it was a nightmare.
I hope some of you noticed that this tow over the mountains and down the valleys was made using the dreaded IBIS TEK tow bar some hate. I had used it in the past with no problems...
I want to thank everyone involved and all those rooting for us! I have never been soooo happy to see my exit sign off of I-26 in my life. I would love to type more but, honestly, I'm too drained both physically from driving and mentally from having to tow that truck across those mountains for...
As for a side note. Coffey1 has been driving my new truck up to this point. I've been in the chase car behind him. I have yet to drive the truck. But now that he got the CTIS figured out, I may have to fight him to ever drive it!
