pull the fuel line from the filter base and install a temp line and run it into a bucket. crank the engine and see what kind of flow you get. it could be the sock or just a bad fuel pump. If it has mechanical pump failure it will do what yours is doing, the pump passes just enough fuel for it...
that is stil low miles for that motor. The only problem with it is it is expensive to do injectors and injectors only last for about 150k. at 200, if it has not had injectors you should go ahead and change them.
The biggest problem is weight and it is a tough fit. i don't think there are...
undo the fuel line at the IP, if you have good fuel flow at that point and very little at the injector then you need an IP rebuild.
If the fuel flow is not good at ip then you have a bad fuel pump or possible stopped up lines, tank sock, or fuel filter base.
in my opinion the run flats are pretty much not needed unless you need to get out of a battle zone. In real life all they do is tear up a tire.
The Hutchinson soft rubber bead locks are ok if they are in good condition. If they have any tears, even small ones on the sides, they will come...
I don't ever drive with the rear window down.
I use the floor flaps, front windows and vent wings. Any time the back window is open you get all the road trash in the truck. Even with the exhaust exiting the rear side of the vehicle you get the exaust in the back window when it is open.
But you...

yes I did cut up a perfectly good hood. I will Repent at a later date.
My apologies to the CUCV purist.
In order to install a snorkel you have to sacrifice something. I am...
I would consider a turbo before the overdrive. without the turbo, you will only go into overdrive when going down hill, especially at your elevation. The 6.2 does not have enough HP to keep the truck in overdrive. I installed the 4l80e before the turbo and the truck could not stay in OD. It...
you are going to need that vacuum pump. it connects to the valve on the ip and then to the trans. This is basicly the throttle possition sensor for the trans. without it your tranny will not downshift.
heat it up with a torch, that slip joint is probably trash, once you sand it down, the seal will probably leak. if you don't sand it down, it will eat up the seal in the t-case.
i have yet to be able to get a video to post. i will try again. It is running and sounds pretty good. i just got my insurance set up, and as soon as i can get the hood on and roof pipe finished I can get it inspected and start driving it again.
I got the air box done, I painted it well with all the extra paint I had. I filled the inside with paint and rolled it around. With light and mirror I was able to check and made sure all surfaces were covered. I painted the outside with two coats primer and three coats top paint. I did not use...
are all of the flex plate bolts there, maybe one hole was messed up and someone put an insert in the hole and then used that bolt. would have to have a washer with it though. That is my only thought other than someone was using the cover to hold some bolts from elsewhere and left that one in the...
had to stop working on the exhaust and get some work done on the snorkel transition box. I got the 4 inch connections done. Next step is to make and weld some tabs on the outside of the box where it will mount to the inner fender. I will then paint the inside and weld the back side of the box...
that debris will end up in the radiator. If it is just dust dont worry about it but if you can get a vacuum and suck as much out as possible. same with the cylinders. they are easy to clean out. The water jacket is not as easy to get a suction tube down inside.
muffler wrap
i got some of the work done. painted the snorkel and got it reinstalled. I still have to finish the transition box that goes between snorkel and air intake. I did get the silicone connectors.
i insulated the muffler section with the 1/2 thick heat sheild insulation and then the...
I had bad results with flat black, it seams to stain real easy and not clean. I would recommend a satin. Just having a little bit of sheen makes them clean a lot easier. Just my 2 cents
look forward to seeing the end results of the project.
